Call to Worship
Call to Worship
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Let’s pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come here this day to worship You, to sing praises to Your great and glorious name, to learn of You, and to fellowship with one another. May You, Lord, be honored in our worship this day. May You pour out Your blessing among us this day as we seek to worship You in spirit and in truth.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pastor’s Prayer
Holy Father,
We are thankful that we can approach You, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, with our petitions and requests.
Lord, we pray for our sister Jodi Redinger who had a stress induced heart attack this week. She has had one stint put in her heart, and soon she will have another procedure to put in two more stints. Lord, she is under a lot of stress and she needs Your help in coping with it. I pray that You would provide her with another job that will be less stressful, if that would be pleasing to You. Otherwise, I pray that You would strengthen her in order to endure the stress in a more productive way.
Lord, we pray for our sister Glenna Kenny who had surgery this week on her back. I pray that this procedure will enable her to walk again. Lord, You are the true healer, not man, and so I pray for healing for her if that would please You. Strengthen he as she goes through rehab. Encourage her, Lord, in the way which only You can do.
Lord, I pray for Iesha and her and grandson who attended our hot dog roast last night. Her grandson has had a tough first year of life. I pray this little one that he would grow strong, not only in health, but in the way of the Lord. I pray for the salvation of this family, if they are not already saved.
Father, I pray for this congregation, that we would be the people You have called us to be. May we, with the psalmist, delight in singing Your praises, and proclaiming the good news of who You are, and all You have done. Lord, be our rock, and our strong tower. May we truly delight in You and trust in Your faithfulness.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
