Life through the Word
Life through the Word
1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Before Jesus came God would speak to His people Through Prophets and other various ways
but now That Jesus has come He speaks to all of through Him
The difference is that the Prophets knew God externally
and they would also receive their messages From outside of themselves
But Jesus sharing in the very nature and deity of God
and the full embodiment of Gods Word is able
is able to speak to us from what comes from within Himself
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
and then later in verse 20
20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
So now because we have Jesus Gods son living in us By His Holy Spirit He is able to speak directly to us
