Matthew 25:14–30 NKJV
14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’ 26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
The Servants with 5 talents and 2 Talents was faithful and good steward of there master’s possessions. We all want to get to heaven and hear Well done, Good and Faithful servant. The last Servant was solely concerned with himself. He didn’t want to be bothered with caring for his master’s resources, and putting the talent in the bank would involve records and management. So he hid in the ground. if his master didn’t come back, he could keep it for himself. The Master didn’t merely want his money back. That wasn’t the stewardship he demanded. The Master gave his talent to the one who had Ten. To whose who are faithful, more will be given. The Parable of the talents is a picture Jesus gave us about stewardship. Jesus has given us his possessions to steward. A steward is not an owner but one who manages the owner’s possessions. We are stewards of what God has given us - not owners. The Bible makes clear that God owns everything. He expects us to protect and expand his possessions for the advancement of his kingdom.

God has given us 3 things to steward

1. is Time

God gives us time everyday. we have 24 hours in a day. i have many times wasted my times on useless things of the world. From watching sports to play fantasy sports. i have wasted the time God is giving me. God wants us to use the time he has given us to advance his kingdom. We do that through Fellowship and spread his word. Time is precious, it goes by so fast and you can get it back. that is why it is so important to steward our time.
Ephesians 5:15–16 LEB
15 Therefore, consider carefully how you live, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of the time because the days are evil.
Alter call
We talked about a little about Jesus in the sermon
Please allow me a few minutes to declare the gospel to you and invite you in to relationship with the Lord Jesus.
Romans 3:23 NKJV
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
We all came to Christ in our sin. We invite you to Come to Him today.
I was lost in my sins until Jesus drew me near, then i was brought to my senses.
Romans 5:8 NKJV
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:12 NKJV
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—
All though sin entered through one man, all are saved through one man also. His name is Jesus
Romans 6:23 NKJV
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The penalty for sin is death. However, The Gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are all sinners but Christ paid the penalty for that sin.
Romans 10:9–10 NKJV
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
No one is too far gone, Jesus is willing and waiting to embrace you with a new life with him.
Salvation Prayer
With every head bowed and eye closed, let us say the salvation prayer together.
Pray this aloud: "Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life. Wash me clean. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That he died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my Victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my Savior and Lord. I receive eternal life, in Jesus name, Amen."
if you said this prayer for the first time please raise your hand. You can put your hands down now. Thank you for listening while i shared God’s word.
