Many times God gave a spiritual message that people did not understand.

Why?

We speak different languages

Different languages?

How many languages in the world? - (2025) close to 7100

God speaks spiritual - we speak physical

Genesis 2 God created - but do not touch a tree

Spiritual language - humility, reverence, submission

Physical language - good to look at and good to taste, can make me wise – pride, no submission

Exodus 3 - Spiritual - deliverance, covenant, freedom

Physical - Moses - not with me, I can't, keep looking

Exodus 4 - Spiritual - Moses tells the elders about deliverance; they worship

Exodus 5 - Physical - Pharoah pride, no belief, no submission; rejects the message

Egyptians and Israelites see God in plaques –

spiritual – Jehovah IS THE God

physical – Pharoah - pride, haughty, hard heart

Egyptians let them leave

Pharoah changes his mind and goes after them

Exodus 14 Israel is near the Red Sea –

spiritual – deliverance and guidance by God

physical - See the Egyptians – panic

Moses on the mountain - spiritual message from God

Israel physical - builds an idol

Jesus spoke spirit - Matthew 5:3-16

People did not understand Jesus spiritual message - they spoke physical

Demanded signs - refusing to see them

Demanded proof - refusing to accept it

Forgive as God has forgiven you

All sin but Grace given to all men

John 6 Jesus spoke spiritual and they spoke physical

We have the same problem

How do we resolve this?

Learn the way of Jesus, know his heart not just words

Matthew 5:6 Hunger and thirst for righteousness then

2 Timothy 2:15 - study to show yourself approved

1 John 1:17 Walk in the light as he is in the light

Christian - learn to speak as Jesus spoke - spiritual
