Something happens when we come to Jesus, which is hostility. Hostility with others, where you are bound to lose friends, and especially, even family members will be against you.
Jesus experienced this. According to the apostle John, “not even his brothers believed in him” (John 7:5), until his death and resurecction.
What happens with rejection, comes fear, because of the distance it creates. Matter of fact, helping family members is the hardest thing to do, isn’t it?
How can we, then, allow others to come to Christ? I want to provide 3 practical ways that we can allow family members to come to God.
DO COLOSSIANS 4:1-6
Colossians 1:3

ORA POR INCREDULOS

Over words, prayer is most powerful.

Labor with me in prayer = Romans 15:30
Pray for others so that they do not fall in temptation, walk away, or deny Jesus.
En lugar de usar palabras, usa el poder de la oración por otros.
ORE POR LIDERES
Colossians 4:3—4 - Pray for leaders
Colossians and Philemon Exegesis and Exposition
That God should open to us a door for the word” refers to God giving Paul not merely an opportunity but also success in evangelism, as supported by the meaning of the open-door image applied to Paul’s ministry in
MINISTRY - hope of glory through Christ.
Leaders are here to not provide for economic needs. Over all things, pastors/ leaders are called to have the courage and efficacy to give out the gospel. We pastors are CALLED to come here. Over any other need, our responsibility is to fulfill the spirtual need you guys need through the gospel. Thus, Satan is attacking us the most. When the church prays, pastors can fight the good fight.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY is to bring others to church. If you are ashamed, then…
Matthew 10:33 means that Jesus promises to openly acknowledge before God the Father those who publicly acknowledge and confess faith in Him before other people. Conversely, Jesus warns that anyone who denies or disowns Him before others will also be denied by Jesus before the Father in heaven at the final judgment. This denial is about allegiance and faithfulness—Jesus will not affirm those who reject or refuse to identify with Him publicly.
The verse underscores the importance of confessing faith in Jesus openly, especially amid trials or persecution, which the early disciples faced. It highlights that faith in Jesus has eternal consequences: acknowledgement or denial by Jesus before God determines one's standing before God.
However, this verse is not a statement about a single momentary failure or fear-driven denial destroying salvation. For example, Peter denied Jesus three times but was restored and became a bold witness later. The warning primarily addresses a consistent or conscious refusal to identify with Jesus Christ.
In summary, Matthew 10:33 teaches that open confession of Jesus as Lord in this life leads to Jesus' acknowledgment of believers before God, while public denial leads to being denied by Jesus before God. The verse emphasizes the eternal significance of public faithfulness and allegiance to Christ
Prayer here is not based on personal interests and wishes, but rather, praying so others can participate in God’s plan of salvation.
