Exodus 6:6–8 NASB95
6 “Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. 7 ‘Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8 ‘I will bring you to the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you for a possession; I am the Lord.’ ”
God has heard the groaning of His people. I have remembered His covenant. This phrase “remember” is important. It tells of the faithfulness of God the fact that 430 years is not enough of a reason to believe that God will not do what He says. It means that God might be late on your clock, but He is right on time with His. This means that when my God says He will, He will. This means our resolve must not be when but whenever if God is at the helm of the promise.
These words are meant for the ears of Israel, God will. Because God has declared that He is the LORD, it means He will.
There is more to His name than a designation. Keep in mind this is not a name man declared about God, God celares this name about God. His name [fill in from notes]
It tells me of His reputation. When we hear “YHWH” we shouldn’t see ‘another name to call on’ - We should faithful, dependable, promise-keeper, way-maker, deliverer, protector - There’s a lot that comes behind God’s name.
Psalm 9:10 “10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”

The reason I can trust God is because I know the name that He has
