1. Seek Jesus' Wisdom
1. Seek Jesus' Wisdom
John 8:2 “And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.”
In this passage, Jesus is teaching early in the morning at the temple. You could use this to introduce how the presence of Jesus brings clarity and truth to our lives, setting the foundation for trust and hope in God when we face troubles. By focusing on His words and guidance, believers find comfort and strength.
2. Trust in Divine Refuge
2. Trust in Divine Refuge
Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man.”
This verse is often considered the center of the Bible and emphasizes trust in God over confidence in man. Perhaps you could explore the idea that placing our trust in God offers a solid foundation during tumultuous times and aligns with the psalmist's call to find refuge in Him rather than in human strengths or systems.
Psalm 27:10 “When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take me up.”
3. Embrace Eternal Love
3. Embrace Eternal Love
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 presents the ultimate expression of God’s provision—sending His Son for our salvation. You might suggest that understanding this act of love motivates us to trust God with our troubles, knowing that if He has taken care of our eternal salvation, He is certainly capable of assisting us in our daily struggles.
4. Embody New Creation
4. Embody New Creation
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Being a new creation means we have a transformed identity in Christ. This transformation offers fresh hope and empowerment in the midst of life's difficulties. Maybe you could emphasize that once we are in Christ, our reliance on Him changes our perspective, equipping us to tackle challenges with His strength and wisdom.
