Job 13:15

Introduction: As I prepared to preach
For this evening
I read a poem
But I want to share with you
That says
Speaking of God
Trust Him when
dark doubts assail thee,
Trust Him when
]thy strength is small,
Trust Him when
to simply trust Him
Seems the hardest
thing of all.
Trust Him, He
is ever faithful,
Trust Him, for
His will
is best,
Trust Him, for
the heart of Jesus
Is the only
place of rest.
And with that in mind
Let’s read our text
For this evening
It is in the book of Job
Job 13
And let’s read
Just one verse
The Bible says
In Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: But I will maintain mine own ways before him.”
Let’s go to the Lord
In a word of prayer
(Pray)
I. Consider the troublesome situation
Declaration
Now
Notice
Our text again
If you would please
Job said
(Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: But I will maintain mine own ways before him.”
What a statement
That was
Particularly
Considering
All that Job
Had been through
But before we look at that
Let me remind us
That
We’ve been Studying
Important Statements
From the Word of God
For a number of weeks.
Statements
That teach us
Lessons
That hopefully
Have helped us
in some way
And
We began
This series
By looking
into the book of Genesis
And then Exodus
And then
All the way through
To the book of Nehemiah
Then
two weeks ago
We looked
into the book
Of Esther
And of the thought
Do right
Even if it costs you
And sometimes
It does cost us
Something
To do the right thing
But
This evening
We come
To the book of Job
And with regards to Job
he lived
during the time
of the patriarchs,
approximately 2100
to 1900 BC.
and
According to Job 42:16,
Job lived
an additional 140 years
after his tragedies occurred,
In fact
The book of Job
is a Biblical story
about a righteous
and
prosperous man
who loses his wealth,
family,
and health
Something which by the way
God permitted
To happen
But
When it does
Job's friends
argue
That his suffering
is punishment for sin,
Oh but
Job maintains
his innocence
and wrestles
with his grief.
But Thankfully
This book ends
On a very positive note
Where
God once again
Blesses Job
With an even larger family
And even more wealth.
But in our text
in Chapter 13
 Job
confronts his friends,
calling them "worthless"
In fact
Notice verse 4
Job said to them
(Job 13:4 “But ye are forgers of lies, Ye are all physicians of no value.”
So basically
He called his friends worthless
and Then
he
accuses them
of lying
and misrepresenting God
to support their arguments.
And as you read the chapter
You get the sense
That
Job is exasperated
with his friends' counsel,
which he views
as false
and unhelpful.
and
 He accuses them
of speaking wickedly
for God
by wrongly claiming
that God
must be punishing him
for hidden sins.
By the way
When you have a friend
Who is suffering…
That’s the time
When you Ought to go
And strengthen their hand
In God
Not weaken their hand
In God
Oh but
In one
of the most famous verses
in the Bible,
Job declares his faith
in God,
even if God
were to destroy him.
and
He states,
(Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: But I will maintain mine own ways before him.” ),
Oh
What an important statement
That is
For us to consider tonight
Now
The word trust
That Job uses here
Is a word
That means to wait for
And by implication
To hope for.
Job was saying
That
Even if the Almighty
Takes my life
Yet
I will continue
To hope in God.
What a statement
Of trust
Job had.
So
This evening
For the next few minutes
I want to preach
a sermon
Entitled
Simply trusting
Simply trusting every day;
Trusting through
a stormy way;
Even
when
my faith is small,
Trusting Jesus,
that is all.
 Trusting as
the moments fly,
Trusting as
the days go by,
Trusting Him,
whate’er befall,
 Trusting Jesus,
that is all.
The song says
But Job said
(Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: But I will maintain mine own ways before him.”
Discussion
But
With that in mind
I want us to consider
Job’s
Troublesome situation.
And
By way of information…
Job
Was doing his best
To live right
For God
And he did.
In fact
Put a marker here
In chapter 13
And turn back
If you would please
To Chapter 1
And notice
Verse 1
The Bible says
(Job 1:1 “There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”
Now
Think about that.
God reports that…
Job
Was perfect
And upright.
What a statement.
What an observation that was
Made by God
Now
That word
Perfect
Is a word
That means complete.
He was wholehearted
For God
Given over
To a Life
Of trying to please God
And
The word upright
Means Simply
To walk a straight path
See
He didn’t live his life
In some kind
of a crooked manner
Where
Today
He was serving God
But tomorrow
He is kind of veering
From the path
No
God said that Job
Was both perfect
And upright
In his life
he
Was a man
Who feared God
That is
He greatly respected
The Lord his God
he Reverenced
the Lord
and eschewed Evil
Do you
Know what that means?
It means
To be turned off.
Job was turned Off
To that which was evil
But
Let me ask you
When God Looks that you…
And by the way
God’s appraisals of men
Is 100% accurate
But
When God looks at you
What kind of appraisal
Would He be able to give
Of your life?
Could
God say
old brother so-and-so
Down at the Albemarle Baptist Church
Is perfect
He lives his life
As though he is all in
For me
He walks the straight and narrow
He respects Me highly
And he despises
That which is evil
Could
God say that
About you and me?
Or would God rather
Have to say about us
That
We are not completely given over
To Him?
Would God have to say
That sometimes
We
Do walk
In a crooked matter
And we don’t respect Him
Like we should?
And that we sometimes
Flirt
With that which is evil?
Well
As God looked
At this man Job
Again God said
Job
Is both perfect
And upright
He fears God
And eschews Evil
But
As we read on
Here
In chapter 1
We find that
Job encountered
A very troublesome situation
See
According to Versus 2 – 3
(Job 1:2–3 “And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.”
But then
According to verses 6-12
The Bible goes on to say
(Job 1:6 – 12
Job 1:6–12 KJV 1900
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
But
don’t miss
Versus 13 – 19
The Bible goes on
To say
(Job 1:13 – 19
Job 1:13–19 KJV 1900
And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
Oh
How very troublesome
That must’ve been
For this man Job.
All in one day
Job lost
All of his cash
And all of his children
How hard…
That must’ve been for Job!
I
Can’t imagine it
Especially
Losing my children.
If such a thing
Were to happen to me
I don’t know how
I could cope with it
Without the help of God
Yet
As Job faced
This troublesome situation
The Bible says
Beginning in verse 20
(Job 1:20–22 “Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return thither: The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.”
My
What incredible integrity
Job had
As a believer
In Jehovah God
What
Uncommon faith
This man Job had
In the Lord his God.
The Lord gave
And He has taken away…
So
Blessed be
The name of the Lord
Job said
And
Think about the statement
That Job made.
He was expressing praise
In the midst of pain.
He was giving God glory
In the midst
Of being gouged himself
He
Was Giving God honor
In the midst
Of his incredible hurt.
All because
This man Job
Was simply trusting
Trusting in his God
Oh but
The trouble
Didn’t end here
In fact
As you turn the page
To chapter 2
You read
Beginning in verse 1
(Job 2:1 – 6
Job 2:1–6 KJV 1900
Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
And
In verse 7
The Bible says
(Job 2:7 “So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.”
My
What a troublesome situation
Job encountered
He
Lost his wealth
In chapter 1
And his children
Which was profound loss
And in chapter 2
Job has now
Lost his health
And
The Bible goes on
To say
In verses 9 – 10
(Job 2:9–10 “Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.”
My
What faith Job had
What trust
Job had
In the Lord his God
It
Was a faith and trust
That we as Christians
Need to have today
That whether
We are prospering
Or are paupers
We Ought to trust in God
That
Whether
Our family is healthy
Or hurting
We ought to trust
In the Lord our God
That whether
We are strong
Or weak
Our trust
In the Almighty God
Ought
always be there
Deliberation
But
The sad truth is
Sometimes
When tragedy strikes.
When those troublesome situations
Pop-up
In our lives
Sometimes
If we’re not Careful
Our faith
Can become weak
I’ve
Heard about people
Christians that is
Who suffered tremendous loss
And as a result
They dropped out of church.
They said to themselves
I have served God
Faithfully
Yet
God allowed
This awful tragedy
Into my life
So they
Stop reading their Bibles
They stop praying
They begin
To miss a church service
Here or there
And
Before you know it
They no longer
Attend church
at all
Because there trust in God
Has become weak
But
Let me make
An observation
If I may
When tragedy strikes
That is the time
You need God the most
That is the time
When you need
To be in church
With God’s people
You
Need that time of prayer
That time
Of Scripture reading
You need God
In those troublesome times
And
Apparently
Job understood that.
Because listen to his question again
When his wife
Made that foolish statement
(Job 2:9–10 “Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.”
Man
Think about
What he was saying
Should we expect
For God to only
Allow good things
To come into our life?
See
Job understood
At this juncture
In his life
That all things work together
For our good
To those of us
Who love God
so
What I’m saying is
When we are experiencing
Those troublesome situations.
Then
That is the time
Where we need to trust
In the living God
In God
Who is the Almighty
In fact
Do you see the word
God
There in verse 10
The word of God there
Is the Hebrew word
Four Elohim
Which means
He who is mighty
Job
Was saying simply
We need to trust
In the Almighty
And we can trust
In the Almighty.
Because the Almighty
has our best interest
At His heart
And He does!
see
God
Has a plan for you
and your life
It is a plan
That is good
And it is a plan
That God will fulfill
If you stay close to Him
And
Though it may not look like it
During those troublesome times
God is good
God is good
during the good times
And in the bad times
God is good
When times are prosperous
And God is good
When you are poor
God
Is good
When you are healthy
And God is good
Even
When you are hurting
God
Is good
When things are delightful
But never forget
That God is equally good
Even amid times of death.
God is good!
But again
Job understood that
In chapters 1 – 2!
But notice verse 11
Here in chapter 2
The Bible
Goes on to say
(Job 2:11 “Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.”
But
As you read on
You find that
Those friends of his
Did anything
But comfort him
They in fact
Were accusatory
Towards him
In fact
in Chapters 4–23:
the dialogue
between Job
and his three friends
Indicates
That his friends
repeatedly accuse him
of wickedness
as the source of his suffering.
Eliphaz:
`For example
Accused Job of evil
in chapters 4,
15,
and 22,
stating that Job's suffering
was a result of his sin.
and Bildad:
Also blamed Job's suffering
on his Supposed sin,
with accusations
in chapters 8, 18,
and 25.
Likewise Zophar:
 Repeated the belief
that
Job's suffering
was due to iniquity
in his life,
with accusations
in chapters 11
and 20.
So
I want you
To put all that
In perspective
In
Chapter 1
Job lost all of his wealth
And all
Of his children
Then in chapter 2
Job lost
His health
as well
But
As chapter 4 begins
Job it seems
Lost the confidence
Of his own friends
After losing the respect
All of his wife!
It must have seemed
Like Job
Had been completely forsaken
Oh
How very troublesome
Job’s situation was
He lost his Cash
His children
His courage
And the confidence
Of his own friends
II. Consider the tremendous statement
Declaration
But
I’m so thankful
The Job
Never lost his confidence
In the Lord his God
Oh
I know
He seemed
to question the Lord
And perhaps
His faith
Was a little cloudy
And
Yours might have been to
Had you gone
Through what Job did
But still yet
Job
Under
The inspiration
Of the Holy Spirit of God
Said in our text
In Job 13
That
After losing
All of his possessions
After losing
His own posterity
In the form of his children
After losing
His physical abilities
After losing
The confidence of his friend
Job
Stated emphatically
(Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: But I will maintain mine own ways before him.”
What a tremendous statement
Against the backdrop
Of troublesome situations
Though the Lord slay me
Still yet
I will trust in Him
Job said
The
Word slay
Means literally
To cut off
And by implication
It means to kill
So
Job was saying
I know I’ve lost my money
My children
My very health
And the Confidence of my friends
But even if God
Decides to take my life
I
M still
Going to trust the Lord.
Simply trusting
Every day
Trusting through
A stormy way
That
Even if
My faith is small
Trusting Jesus
That is all!
What
A tremendous statement
That is
But
Let me ask you
How do you trust God
In situations like that?
Discussion
Because see
It occurred to me
That Job
Was privy
To the discussion
Between the Lord and Satan
That took place
In chapters 1 – 2
Because
Job
Some people believe
Is the one
Who wrote this book
So
If Job did
Then maybe
He became privy
To the Conversation
Between the Lord
And Satan
In chapters 1-2
And
If so
How Was Job able
To trust God
Through all of this?
Well
Job understood
What everyone here
Needs to understand
What everyone
Who is listening in
On the Internet
Needs to understand
And
That is
Our God
Is sovereign
Now
In the Bible,
sovereignty refers
to
God's supreme authority,
power,
and complete control
over all of creation
and every event.
and
This concept
is foundational
to the Christian faith,
it
signifies
that God
is the ultimate Ruler
and Creator
who works out His purposes
through all things,
both good and bad.
And
God’s sovereignty
is supported
by verses
like Psalm 115:3,
which states,
Psalm 115:3 “But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.”
Likewise
The psalmist wrote
in Psalm 103:19 “The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; And his kingdom ruleth over all.”
And if God
Is in charge
Of everything
Including circumstances
And if God
Loves you and me
As His children
Then
It stands to reason
That God
Allows circumstances
To come into our lives
In order to accomplish
His good will!
And
While Job
Didn’t understand
What God was trying to accomplish
In his own life
At the time
And maybe
he never found out
Yet
God understood!
And
A God like that
Can be trusted.
And in Job 13
Job was trusting the Lord
Saying
Even though
The Lord slays me
Yet
Will I trust in Him.
Not in circumstances
But in Him
Not in situations
But in He
Who is Sovereign
Determination
And
Listen please
That’s where we
Need to be
As Christians
This evening
We
More than anything else
In our lives
We need to trust
In the Lord
By the way
Anxiety
has become
an unwelcome companion
for so many
today
it
creeps
into everyday life
with relentless persistence.
And
The most striking revelation
is the pervasive nature
of worry
among younger Americans.
In fact
An overwhelming
62%
of Gen Z
and millennial respondents
report
feeling constantly anxious,
compared to 38%
of
the older generations.
and
on the average,
people spend two hours
and 18 minutes each day
caught
in the grip
of worrisome thoughts.
What
a significant chunk of time
that could otherwise
fuel productivity,
creativity,
or personal growth.
And
When it comes
to specific concerns
Or worries
That people have today
Whether
They are young or old
53% of respondents
cite money
as their primary source
of anxiety.
Job
Could have related to that
42%
Of them
worry about
their loved ones.
And again Job
Could have related to that
Then
42% fret
about pending tasks
and to-do lists.
37%
have health concerns
And again
Job
Could have related to that
Then
In the survey
That I referenced
A moment ago
22%
have sleep anxiety (22%),
and 19%
are concerned
by political uncertainties
But see
It is worry
Worry
Worry!
For so many people today
Determination
But
how many minutes
a day
do you spend worrying?
Well
Whatever your answer is
Why not
turn your anxieties
over to the Lord
and pray as David did
in Psalm 139:23 “Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts:”
Just
(Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.”
See
While you might not
Be able to trust
Your own government
You can always
Trust your God
Incidentally
Americans' trust
in government
has hit an all-time low.
But that lack of trust
hasn't always been a part
of the American experience.
In fact
A chart published
by the Pew Research Center
shows the dramatic decline.
For example,
in 1964,
77% of Americans said
they trusted
the government.
Then
the collapse began
during the presidency
of Lyndon B. Johnson,
which overlapped with
the Vietnam War.
The
1970s—
thanks to Vietnam
and Watergate—
sped up
the loss of faith
in the government (62%).
and
After a slight resurgence
during the 1980s,
With the presidency
Of Ronald Reagan.
the trend line
For trusting government
for the past few decades
is quite clear
In fact
A 2025 survey found
that Only
33%
of Americans
trust the federal government,
while 47%
do not.
And
That distrust
Has been earned.
But again
While you cannot always trust
Your government…
Well listen please…
You can always trust…
Your God!
I
Can always trust
My God
We can always
Our God.
He is trustworthy
In every situation
In every circumstance
And
Apparently
At least
Here in chapter 13
Job had learned
To trust God
And I do hope
We have to
III. Consider the teaching for the saint
Declaration
And
As we bring
This sermon
To a conclusion tonight
And as we think about
All of the troublesome situations
That Job
Had to endure
And
As we think about
The tremendous statement
That he made
In view of the Troublesome
Situations
He endured
Job said
(Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: But I will maintain mine own ways before him.”
That
Even if
God has allowed
Me to lose all my possessions
And even if
God has allowed me
To lose my children
My health
The respective my wife
And even the confidence
Of my friends
And
Even if God kills me…
Still yet
I’m going to trust
In the Lord my God!
And
As we think about
The troublesome situations
That he endured
And the tremendous statement
That he made here
In our text
I
Want us to consider
The teaching
For the saints
From this text
And
Number 1
As I’ve already alluded to
God has our good
In mind.
When those troublesome situations
Come to pass!
In fact
I want you to turn
To the book of Romans
If you would please
Romans 8
And read with me
Beginning in verse 24
Paul wrote
(Romans 8:24 – 28
Romans 8:24–28 KJV 1900
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Now
Think about that
Paul is saying
We have been called.
Call to perform a task
According
To the purpose of God
And
Everything that happens to us
In our life
Every situation
That comes to pass
Every circumstance
That we find ourselves in
Whether
It seems positive
Or negative
We need to understand
That the God of heaven
Allows those things
To work in concert
To bring about
Ultimate good
See
God wants nothing
But our good.
And a God like that
Is certainly trustworthy
Now
Think about it
God allows you
To be born
Into your family
God allowed you
To grow up
With your particular situation
God
Allowed you
To go through this trial
Or that trial
To experience
This pleasure
Or that pain
So that
God could make you
Into what you are
And who you are
So that God could accomplish good
In
And through your life
I am
Reminded of Joseph
In the Old Testament
Joseph
Got a raw deal
Wouldn’t you agree?
He
Was hated by his brothers
He was sold into slavery
By his brothers
He was imprisoned
Without a cause
He was forgotten about
And for over a decade
He languished
In that prison
And
Though he could’ve hated
His brothers
For all of that
He could have become better
Yet
Somehow
He learned
That God is good
And that God
Only wants our good
Because
He said
In Genesis 50:20 “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”
see
All things work together
For good
To them who love God
To them
Who are the called
According to His purpose
So
A God like that
Can be trusted.
God is good
Discussion
Number 2
God is gifted
In that
God has a plan
For your life
And
For Job
That plan was simple
God wanted to show Satan
How real
Job’s faith was
Satan said
Lord
You take away
All of Job’s substance
And his children
and he will then
curse you
To your face
Oh
But God
Wanted to show Satan
What real faith is
and
Even as Job was tried
he said
The Lord has given
And the Lord
Has taken away
Blessed be the name
Of the Lord
But
What about us
When trials come?
What possible purpose
Could God have?
in allowing trials
Into our life?
Well
Did you know that trials
Strengthen our faith?
In fact
Look in James 1
And read with me
Versus 1 – 4
The Bible says
In James 1:1–4 “James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
Now
Think about
What James was saying
God allows trials
In our life
Trials of our faith
So that we may be perfect
And entire
the phrase
"perfect and entire"
means
to be spiritually mature
and complete,
lacking nothing
in character
So
Let me ask you
Don’t you want
To be spiritually mature
Complete in Him
And lacking nothing
In your character
For the Lord’s sake?
Well
God gives us trials
To provide those things
For us.
So He just wants us
To trust Him
Through them
And
By the way
When those trials come to pass
The good thing about being a Christian
Is that
We never face them
Alone
God always goes with us
Through the trial
And
There was Job
Losing his wealth
His children
His health
The respect of his wife
The loss of confidence
From his friends
But
Through every trial
God
Was with him.
And therefore
Job
Could trust the Lord
And
So can we
So can I
Determination
So
What about it Christian
Are you facing
Troublesome situations
In your life
And maybe
You sort of feel like Job?
Well
Remember
God is good
And He wants your good
And
Remember
God has a purpose
For all
You are going through
So
Will you
Simply Trust Him
Singing
if my way
be clear,
Praying if
the path be drear;
if in danger,
for Him call, Trusting Jesus,
that is all.
Can you say that
Maybe
You need to come to the altar
And ask the Lord
To increase your faith tonight
I encourage you
To draw nigh
To the Lord
Conclusion: Let’s close in prayer
