Put on the Armor of God

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil

Put on the armor of God to fight battles which we need help with……..MR. Awana Man Sir can not use his super powers to beat temptation and sadness.
Temptation = Desire to Sin. To do Wrong
Sadness = Deep Feeling of Being Down
Spray cheese, super kicks, and flying footballs) is not going to work against Temptation & Sadness
The reason is that some of our battles are not against a bad guy we can see, but they are spiritual they are against evil. V12 talks about this.

Fight Against Evil / Evil One

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

Again v13 says to put on the armor of God.
Why? = So that we can stand against Evil.
Evil is sin against God. Times which we disobey God.

14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

Belt of Truth
Belt Keeps your Pants up. Keeps everything in place.
Belt of Truth keeps us grounded in God’s Word and not making up truth or beliving things that are false.
“When speaking of God’s armor, the belt of truth helps keep you grounded. (Ephesians 6:14) In this world, people sometimes make their own truth. They go with whatever feels right or makes them feel good, but when you are a Christian, the truth must come from God and His Word, not made up opinions for what feels right in the moment.”
2. Breast Plate of Righteousness
Breastplate is part of our armor which protects us.
“That’s why a breastplate is essential. It is the second piece that protects some very vital organs inside your body, including your heart. “
3. Shoes of Peace
Shoes of Peace help us walk into times in battles (times in life) when we can share the gospel with others.
The Bible says these shoes will “prepare you to tell the good news of peace.” (Ephesians 6:15 NIrV) Our job as Christians is to be ready to share the Gospel with others – that’s the good news of how Jesus came to save us.
4. Shield of Faith
Our Bibles describes Satans attacks as “fiery arrows”. We need to be able to be protected with the shield of faith.
5. Helmet of Salvation
Just as we need to protect our hearts we need to protect our heads. We need to know that salvation comes from God.
Equally as important as protecting your heart in battle, a soldier absolutely must protect his head. Being confident that God has saved you and forgiven your sins is the best way to defend your mind from the lies and the challenges in life that the devil will attack you with.
6. Sword of the Spirit = Word of God
Offensive = to point in the right direction. Helps us follow God, and know how god wants us to live for him.
But the sixth and final piece listed in Ephesians is offensive. The sword of the Spirit, which is the Bible. You are protected with all the other pieces, but this one points you in the right direction.

Put on the Armor of God through Prayer

18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
