Day 1 — God’s Heart for Israel

Title: “God’s First Love: Understanding His Heart for Israel”

OPENING

There is a phrase in Scripture that reveals the heart of God toward Israel — and it’s one many Christians overlook.

God calls Israel: “My firstborn” (Exodus 4:22).

And if God calls someone His firstborn, then there’s a special covenant, a special relationship, and a special purpose attached to them.

Today, we begin our journey by looking at God’s heart for Israel — not through political lenses or worldly opinions, but through God’s Word.

GOD DECLARED HIS LOVE FOR ISRAEL

📖 Deuteronomy 7:6–8

“The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number…

but because the LORD loves you and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers.”

God did not choose Israel because they were impressive.

He chose them because He loved them and because He keeps covenant.

GOD’S EVERLASTING COVENANT

📖 Genesis 17:7

“I will establish My covenant… for an everlasting covenant

to be God to you and your descendants after you.”

Everlasting means everlasting.

Not temporary.

Not conditional.

Not replaceable.

No matter the rebellion, exile, or unbelief — God keeps His promises.

GOD’S HEART STILL BURNS FOR ISRAEL

📖 Jeremiah 31:3

“I have loved you with an everlasting love;

Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”

And then — in that same chapter — God says this:

📖 Jeremiah 31:35–36

“As long as the sun still shines… Israel will never cease from being a nation before Me.”

If the sun still rises — God’s covenant with Israel still stands.

THE CHURCH IS NOT A REPLACEMENT — WE ARE GRAFTED IN

📖 Romans 11:17

“You… were grafted in among them,

and with them became partakers of the root and fatness…”

We don’t replace Israel.

We join Israel’s covenant blessing through Christ.

Israel is the root —

The Church is the branches grafted in.

GOD COMMANDS US TO HONOR ISRAEL

📖 Psalm 122:6

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”

📖 Genesis 12:3

“I will bless those who bless you.”

Honoring Israel isn’t political —

It’s biblical obedience and covenant alignment.

JESUS IS COMING BACK TO ISRAEL

📖 Zechariah 14:4

“His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives.”

The story began in Israel.

It will end in Israel.

This is why understanding Israel isn’t optional —

It’s part of understanding God’s heart, God’s Word, God’s timeline, and the return of Jesus.

CALL TO ACTION

Ask God to give you His heart for His people — not the world’s opinions.

Ask Him to remove any deception, bias, or misunderstanding.

This series is not about politics.

It is about covenant, prophecy, and God’s unchanging love.

DECLARATION

Father, today I receive Your heart for Israel.

I am grafted into Your covenant blessings,

and I bless Israel in Jesus’ name.

I renounce confusion, replacement theology, and deception.

I love who You love.

I stand where You stand.

I honor Your covenant, Your people, and Your Word.

Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, thank You for choosing Israel.

Thank You for Your everlasting love and covenant faithfulness.

Give us Your heart.

Let us see as You see, think as You think, and love as You love.

Protect Israel.

Bring salvation to Israel.

And prepare our hearts for the fullness of Your plan.

In Jesus’ mighty Name — Amen.
