EXPLAIN (John 13:18-30)

John 13:18 ESV
18 I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’
Jesus teaching His disciples… not Judas.
Though he was blessed to be with Jesus… he would betray Him.
In fulfilment of:
Psalm 41:9 ESV
9 Even my close friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted his heel against me.
Most likely referring to rebellion of Absalom, David’s son.
Turned the hearts of the people, and Ahithophel, David’s advisor and close friend.
Though he ate with king David, he betrayed him.
