OPENING

Welcome to Day 12 of our journey through Romans 9–11.

Today we stand on one of the most foundational truths of Christian life and spiritual growth:

📖 Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Faith does not grow by accident.

Faith does not grow by wishing.

Faith does not grow by scrolling, stressing, or struggling.

Faith grows by hearing the Word of God.

✅ 

THE WORLD SHOUTS — GOD SPEAKS

We live in a loud world:

News shouting fear

Social media shouting opinions

Culture shouting confusion

The enemy whispering lies

But God speaks truth — and truth builds faith.

Faith can’t survive on inspiration quotes or positive thinking.

Faith needs Scripture.

If what you hear the most is fear, doubt, and negativity — faith shrinks.

If what you hear the most is the Word — faith grows.

HEARING IS CONTINUOUS

The Greek implies:

faith comes by hearing and hearing and hearing…

You don’t fill your gas tank once and drive for life.

You don’t eat once and stay full forever.

And you don’t read the Bible once and expect to stay strong in faith.

Hearing must be:

Daily

Intentional

Repetitive

Active

Faith is not automatic — it’s cultivated.

✅ 

FAITH IS YOUR SPIRITUAL MUSCLE

The Word of God is the gym of your spirit.

No Word = no strength.

Little Word = little strength.

Faith-filled Word = mountain-moving strength.

📖 Joshua 1:8

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth…

For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

The Word in your mouth is power.

The Word in your spirit is strength.

The Word in your ears is faith.

WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING YOUR SPIRIT?

Ask yourself:

What voice am I hearing the most?

Do I fill my day with God’s truth or world’s noise?

Am I building faith or feeding doubt?

The Word is not optional — it’s oxygen.

Reading isn’t religious duty — it’s survival.

Hearing isn’t a suggestion — it’s power.

✅ 

APPLICATION

Make the Word a priority:

✅ Read Scripture daily

✅ Speak the Word aloud

✅ Listen to preaching and worship

✅ Turn off doubt-producing voices

✅ Turn up faith-filled voices

You can’t live in victory if you feed on defeat.

You can’t walk in faith if you only hear fear.

✅ 

DECLARATION

Faith rises in me today!

I tune my ears to God’s Word and silence every voice of doubt.

I grow stronger every time I hear Scripture.

The Word fuels my faith, and my faith moves mountains.

I am a hearer, a believer, and a doer of the Word —

in Jesus’ name, Amen!

🙏 

PRAYER

Father, thank You for Your Word that builds faith.

Help me hunger for Scripture, delight in Your truth,

and tune my ears to Your voice daily.

Grow my faith, strengthen my spirit, and guard my heart

from every lie and distraction of the enemy.

I choose Your Word.

I choose faith.

In Jesus’ name — Amen!

One of the greatest spiritual laws in Scripture is found in Romans 10:17:

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

Faith is not emotional hype — it is the supernatural confidence produced by the Word of God.

If we want faith that:

Overcomes fear

Conquers doubt

Moves mountains

Stands in trial

Believes in the impossible

We must give ourselves to God’s Word — daily and continually.

The world shouts loud, but God speaks truth.

Choose to tune your heart to His voice, and watch your faith grow strong.
