Our homes are a sanctuary where we escape for a little while.
It is where we will go to relax and refocus for the next day.
Why would we want anything or anyone to come in, disrupting our peace?
Sadly, many have done so with sin. Sin is allowed in our homes and it causes disruptions.
We must be willing to keep sin out of our own home!

A. A Psalm of lovingkindness and justice.
a. Psalm 101:1 “I will sing of lovingkindness and justice, To You, O Yahweh, I will sing praises.”
b. David praises God for his mercy and that he is a just God.
B. A commitment to walk in integrity.
a. Psalm 101:2–3 “I will consider the way of the blameless. When will You come to me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. I will set no vile thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.”
b. David wanted to walk with integrity before God.
C. A Rejection of Corrupt influences.
a. Psalm 101:4–5 “A crooked heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil. Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart, I will not endure.”
b. David would having nothing to do with those who are corrupt.
D. A Vision of a Holy household and Kingdom.
a. Psalm 101:6–8 “My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may abide with me; He who walks in the way of the blameless is the one who will minister to me. He who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who speaks lies shall not be established before my eyes. Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, To cut off from the city of Yahweh all the workers of iniquity.”
b. David wants them to live in peace with him and to be Holy.

A. What is Deceit?
a. Outright lie, Half-truths, Manipulation, Hypocrisy, and Hidden agendas.
b. Ephesians 4:25 “Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.”
i. We are called to speak truth to our neighbors; not lie.
ii. We must put away deceit.
B. “Shall not dwell in my house”
a. Psalm 101:7 “He who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who speaks lies shall not be established before my eyes.”
b. His house: People who live with him; The government: those who hold positions of authority.
c. Three areas in our life that we should not allow deceit:
i. Our Homes
ii. Friendships
iii. The Church
C. God’s Perspective on deceit
a. Proverbs 12:22 “Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, But doers of faithfulness are His delight.”
b. Revelation 21:8 ““But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.””
c. If we want to be the Church, then there must be no deceit among us.
i. 1 Timothy 3:15 “but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.”
ii. We are called to be examples and not full of deceit.
