For Brittney and Brandon
PROCESSIONAL & WELCOME
Intro
Family and friends, we gather here today under God's wide-open sky to witness the joining of Brittney and Brandon in holy matrimony. Out here in this beautiful country, we're reminded that love, like the land itself, is something worth tending, worth protecting, and worth fighting for.
We come together not just as witnesses, but as a community—to surround this couple with our love, our support, and our prayers. Just as the pioneers needed their community to survive and thrive in the frontier, so too do Brittney and Brandon need all of us as they embark on this greatest adventure of their lives.
Who gives this woman to be married to this man?
REFLECTION ON MARRIAGE - 1 CORINTHIANS 13
OFFICIANT:
Brittney and Brandon, you've chosen to build your life together on the foundation of faith. And there's no finer description of the love you're pledging today than the words written by the Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians, chapter 13:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."
These aren't just pretty words—they're a blueprint for the marriage you're building today.
Patience and kindness will see you through the hard days when the work seems never-ending and the road seems long. Humility will help you admit when you're wrong and seek forgiveness. Protection and perseverance will give you the strength to weather any storm that comes your way—together.
Like a rancher tends the land, you must tend your love—daily, faithfully, through all seasons. In the spring of joy, in the summer of plenty, in the autumn of change, and yes, even in the winter of hardship. This kind of love doesn't just happen; it's a choice you make, every single day.
And that's the beauty of it—love never fails. Not because life is always easy, but because when two people commit to loving each other the way God loves us, they become stronger than any challenge they might face.
THE CHARGE
Brandon, Brittney—before you exchange your vows, I want to charge you both with this:
Brandon, as you take Brittany as your wife, will you remember that she is your partner, not your property. Will you treat her with respect, honor her dreams, and lift her up. Will you be her safe place, her steady hand, her home. Will you lead with courage, and serve with humility. Will you love her not only when she's easy to love, but especially when life gets hard. Say I will.
Brittney, as you take Brandon as your husband, will you remember that you are his helpmate and his equal. Will you encourage him, believe in him, and stand beside him. Will you be his comfort, his champion, his peace. Will you respect him not only when he gets everything right, but especially when he stumbles and needs grace. Say I will.
Both of you: Remember that marriage is not about finding the perfect person—it's about choosing each other, imperfections and all, and building something beautiful together. It's a covenant made before God and this community. It will require sacrifice, forgiveness, laughter, and faith. But I promise you this: if you hold fast to the love described in Scripture, if you put each other first, and if you never stop choosing one another—you will build a legacy that lasts.
THE VOWS
Brandon and Brittney, please join hands and face each other.
Brandon, repeat after me:
I, Brandon, take you, Brittney, to be my lawfully wedded wife. I promise before God and these witnesses To be your faithful husband, from this day forward. In good times and bad, In sickness and in health, For richer or poorer, I will love you, honor you, and cherish you All the days of my life. This is my solemn vow. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

EXCHANGE OF RINGS
The wedding ring is a circle—without beginning and without end—symbolizing eternal love. These rings are made of precious metal, refined by fire, just as your love will be refined and strengthened through life's trials.
May I have the rings?
Brandon, place this ring on Brittney's finger and repeat after me:
Brittney, I give you this ring As a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and my life to you. Wear it as a sign that you are cherished, Today, tomorrow, and always.

PRONOUNCEMENT
OFFICIANT:
Brittney and Brandon, you have declared your love and commitment before God and these witnesses. You have made sacred promises and sealed them with these rings.
Therefore, by the power vested in me by the State of Texa and, more importantly, by the grace of Almighty God, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
What God has joined together, let no one separate.
Brandon—you may kiss your bride!
