“You are a divine solution wrapped in human form.”
You weren’t born by accident — you were sent with assignment.
God placed something inside you that carries answers for someone else’s problem.
You are not just existing…
Last week we dealt with putting on the whole armor of God…
One verse messed me up on Wednesday
Ephesians 6:15 ESV
and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.
“As shoes for your feet”
The Roman Sandal:
These were thick-soled leather sandals with hobnails (metal studs) hammered into the bottoms for traction. They were designed to:
Protect the feet from sharp rocks, thorns, and rough terrain.
Provide stability — soldiers could stand firm in slippery or uneven ground.
Enable mobility — a good pair of shoes let soldiers march long distances quickly and be ready to advance or retreat.
So shoes were not optional; they were foundational for readiness.
“Put on the readiness”
This readiness only comes from being well-prepared and firmly established.
The only way you can be ready…
You have to firmly established by the gospel of peace…
The gospel of peace produces the readiness….
What does the word Gospel mean?
Gospel: “good news” or “glad tidings.”
In the New Testament the Bible speaks of a few gospels:
The Gospel of the Kingdom The Gospel of Jesus Christ The Gospel of Christ
“of Jesus Christ” → focuses on who the gospel is about.
“of Christ” → focuses on whose gospel it is — the one that comes from and reveals Christ. The Gospel of God The Gospel of the Grace of God The Gospel of Peace The Eternal (Everlasting) Gospel
Ephesians 6 is dealing with the Gospel of Peace…
The good news about peace.
The Gospel of Peace is two-fold

Peace with God — Our Reconciliation (Positional Peace)

Romans 5:1 ESV
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
My old position:
Ephesians 2:1 ESV
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins
Colossians 1:13 ESV
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,
Romans 5:10 ESV
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
Dead
Darkness
Enemies
But thank God…..
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus — shed blood paid the penalty for our sins.
Peace with God refers to the end of hostility between God and humanity caused by sin.
Ephesians 2:4–5 ESV
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
We are Justified…
Justification is God’s act of declaring a sinner righteous on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ, not because of our works.
Righteous: Right Standing / Right Living
I have peace with God / My relationship has been Reconciled
That’s why Paul likens it to shoes — firm footing in battle comes from knowing you are reconciled to God.

The Peace of God — Our Rest

Peace of God is the inner tranquility of the believer who trusts God amid life’s trials.
It’s not about our relationship status (that’s peace with God) — it’s about our state of mind and heart.
Philippians 4:6–7 ESV
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
It “guards” (Greek phroureō, meaning to garrison or protect) our hearts — like a soldier keeping watch over our emotions and thoughts.
Surpasses: means that the peace of God goes far beyond, or is greater than, all human understanding or reasoning.
No matter what I’m going through….
The peace of God goes beyond my own human understanding or reasoning!
Puase!!!
Peace Means: harmony, wholeness, tranquility, well-being.
Also, “to join or bind together.” So at its root, eirēnē means: “that which has been joined together after being separated.”
It’s the idea of unity restored, relationships reconciled, and everything set right.
Peace only exists where separation once existed.
If there were no storm, Jesus wouldn’t have needed to speak peace.
Peace is most powerful when it’s contrasted with chaos.
There is no testimony of calm without the reality of a storm.
There is no revelation of peace without the presence of conflict.
The Gospel of Peace:
Peace with God…
Peace of God…
The gospel of peace gives believers a settled position
The same gospel makes you ready to move—ready to face conflict calmly and to carry the good news of peace to others (Isaiah 52:7; Romans 10:15).
I Am A Walking Gift..
I ready to move with the Gospel of Peace…
2 Corinthians 3:17 ESV
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Now the Lord is the Spirit…
And If I am Spirit filled, That means I have the Lord who is the Spirit
And Where the Spirit of the Lord is….
That means where I walk….
“There is Freedom”
Freedom: Liberty, release from bondage or oppression.
Walk with this Gospel of Peace….
Freedom walks in the room…. When you walk in…
Romans 5:8 ESV
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
