Spiritual Sacrifice

Romans 3:20 “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Therefore of condemnation

Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” Therefore of justification

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Therefore of assurance

Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Therefore of dedication

Living Sacrifice

Bring your sacrifice, offering

Inner transformation, not an outward conformity

Serving the Lord

Thinking too high and too low is no good

We need to acknowledge what we are good at

Gifts

Prophecy - a word from God, anointed utterance

Ministry or service, someone that works behind the scenes

Teaching - making truth clear, can happen in a class, small group, one on one, children’s ministry and so on

Exhortation or encouragement - come alongside, think of a counselor

Giving - giving unusual proportions of their money, time, and service.

Rulers or Leaders - can cast vision and get people to achieve it

Mercy - people moved to work with the poor, sick, weak, prisoner, addicted, and elderly

what am i burdened for

are you sensitive to the needs of the church

Experience

In general you don’t learn your gifts before you do ministry; this is why many people feel they are not gifted
