Title: Set Free Part II
Thought: It Has To Let You God
Topic: Healing of Infirmities
Teaching: How to Get Delivered
Luke 13:10–17 KJV 1900
10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. 11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. 12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. 13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. 14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. 15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? 16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? 17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
Story Start:
last week I share with you the story about Charles Ramsey and how he helped rescue there women that were kidnapped and held captive by his next door neighbor, he broke down the door to help them escape
Story Significance:
We said that’s an example of what God wants to do for all his people, he wants to help us break free of anything that’s trying to hold us captive, he wants to break the influence of anything in our lives that's holding us back
Sermon Sentence:
Jesus wants to set us free from anything in our life that has us bound.
Luke 4:18 KJV 1900
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Sermon Saying:
It is never too late to be set free.
Blessing Statement:
When you get set free that is when you see the goodness of God
Problem Statement:
Most people are not set free because they do not know they are bound.
Challenge Statement:
There are certain things that bind us, and only Jesus has the power to set us free.
Background:
It’s Sunday morning service, Jesus is in the middle of his sermon when he sees a crippled woman walk in, she is bent over and can’t lift herself up, Jesus stops preaching and calls her over, he touches her and immediately she’s healed.
I believe this story can help us discover how we can be set free from the infirmities that are keeping us bound. This story not only illustrates how Jesus can set us free, but it also shows us that Jesus cares about our freedom and he wants to help us get free.

2. Jesus knows what condition you’re in, when you come in, he still welcomes you in.
3. Jesus noticed her spiritual before her physical, he saw what was under the surface.
4. People see what you look like on the outside, Jesus see’s what’s on the inside.

13. Jesus see’s this woman that’s out of alignment, and his goal is to get her straight
14. To get this woman straight Jesus must first get her set free.
15. The bible says she could not lift herself, she could not straighten up on her own.
16. This is why we need Jesus; sin has us all bound and crippled, and we can’t get up.
17. Jesus is the only one who can remove the bondage of sin and set us free.
18. We need God to straighten us up and to help keep us straight.
