Last time we spoke about women and what they need to become to attract the Godly man. Today, we are dealing with the men.
What kind of man should you become
What kind of women to avoid

7 Traits of a Godly man
7 Traits of a Godly man
Men are different from women. We are often total opposites. Many of the things that men want in women come naturally to women. They need to make sure that they do not lose them.
With men, it is often the opposite, you are born with a few traits that women want, but you need to develop them.
For example
Men like beautiful women. When they become a young lady they are already beautiful with beautiful bodies. But it is tough to stay that way.
Most women prefer men who can provide and are strong. Most young men are broke and weak, no one wants them to stay that way.
So these traits of a Godly man are mostly things we need to aspire to, not things men already have. What are these traits?
Present
Procreate
Protect
Purpose/Provide
Patient
Preach
Progress
Remember these as we go through the Bible and see if you can pic up these traits.
These Traits do not replace the Traits of all Disciples.
These Traits do not replace the Traits of all Disciples.
Remember, that These traits do not substitute or replace the traits of discipleship, they are added on top specifically for men. The traits of Discipleship, Faith, Self-Control, Virtue, etc are still there for both men and women.
So the traits of discipleship are like Flour, eggs, and oil in the cake. The traits i’m adding, are what makes a difference between a chocolate cake and a vanilla.
It does not matter if you can Provide, You are patient, you can preach, or lead if you do not have
Faith,
Virtue,
Knowledge,
Self Control,
Perserverance,
Godliness
Love.
What kind of man should a single man be
What kind of man should a single man be
Many people run straight to Corinthians or Ephesians to show us what a man should be like as if good and marriagable men were created after Jesus died. But we know that is not true. There were great men of old who were certainly marriagable. And they were so because we were designed to be that way. If you want to know what we were designed for, ask the creator why. Let’s see what he said.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Man in our Image. Present.
Dominion. Progress.
Multiply : Procreate.
15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Purpose/Provide: He had a job that he was doing. He was busy. He had a purpose and was tending to the garden which was their food.
Look at the warning he is giving him. This will become important later.
18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
Patient: he waited without complaining. Can you imagine every single animal looking for a helper at your level?
The Hebrew phrase ezer kenegdo means an essential collaborator not a maid.
There is one thing that is very interesting here.
First, this is the first time we get the name “Adam” in verse 2:18, sometimes verse 20.
That is not his name though, that is what he is. The adam is simply how you say, “The man”/the human” in hebrew. It is not who he is, it is what he is called. Its a noun, but not a proper noun. In the original Hebrew and in Literal translations, Adam does not have a name - he is always called the Adam.
23 And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.”
But, after he does his job, fulfils his purpose, after he becomes somebody, he gets a proper name.

Then, after Eve eats the Apple, but before he eats it, what does he do?
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
I said earlier that there is something you should remember for later. That time is now.
Adam was aware of what he is was eating and he knew that eating it would mean that he will surely did and become mortal. He had no reason to doubt God’s word because
he say the animals being created,
He Saw it
He was there when God put him asleep and formed Eve. He saw Eve as a new creation.
Adam knows God’s power.
Eve did not see these things herself, she might have reason to doubt.
Adam knew that God can give life and take it away. So, he knew God could take it away from him.
Eve might be unsure whether she was going to die, That is why the serpent targetted her. But Adam was sure that THIS WOULD KILL HIM.... BUT HE ATE ANYWAY. HE WAS WILLING TO DIE.
Adam was a true protector.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Preach it. Dont have to be a priest, but you must believe in this commission.
3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
Progress, you are the head of that family.
But, when you are this type of man, many may be interested. So you have to decide between them. What do you look for?
So to be a good man, an attractive Godly man, YOu must have the Traits of Discipleship:
Faith,
Virtue,
Knowledge,
Self Control,
Perserverance,
Godliness
Love (Brotherly, and Agape).
