15 Minute Window

Body

As we enter that last section of our Freedom Groups material we are working toward our Freedom Conference December 5 and 6.
As we move into this section I want to start by say that in your life you are going to three obstacles.
Obstacle number 1 is the Stuff you get yourself into.
Obstacle number 2 is stuff others with put you through
Obstacle number 3 is something most of the time we don’t want to believe in or we go way overboard with.
Obstacle 3 is spiritual warfare……..
Like I said we either land in one of two camps
The Nah Camp
The Devil is Behind every door post Camp.
So we don’t want to be in either of these camps we need to understand what we are battling and how to properly fight.
The Bible is full of material on Spiritual Warfare and How we can win the Battle.
Acts 10:38 NIV
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
Here’s what you need to know!
Demons are real.
Revelation 12:7–9 NIV
7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
2. Demons want to destroy you.
1 Peter 5:8–9 NIV
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
Ephesians 5:11 NIV
11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
3. Demons respond to a higher authority.
Ephesians 6:10–12 NIV
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
1 John 4:4 NIV
4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Authority
The highest authority is The Name of Jesus.
Luke 10:17–19 NIV
17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” 18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
Philippians 2:10 NIV
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
2. The authority of The Word.
Matthew 4 and Luke 4 …..”It is written…..”
3. The authority of the blood of the cross.
Revelation 12:11 NIV
11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
So who do we allow God’s Authority to rein over the power of the enemy in our daily lives?
I am glad you asked.
I have three daily steps for you.
Matthew 10:1 NIV
1 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
Romans 8:37–39 NIV
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Submit yourself to God.
James 4:7–8 NIV
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
2. Close any open doors.
2 Corinthians 2:10–11 NIV
10 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
Ephesians 4:26–27 NIV
26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.
3. Confront your enemy daily.
2 Corinthians 10:3–5 NIV
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
