Job 1:1 “1 There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job, and that man was blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.

Job 1:2 “2 There were born to him seven sons and three daughters.”

Job 1:3 “3 He possessed 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, and 500 female donkeys, and very many servants, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the east.”

1 Corinthians 6:19 “19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

1 Corinthians 6:20 “20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

Once you get saved your have new ownership.

God doesn’t need Your Permission

Job 1:6 “6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.”

Job 1:7 “7 The Lord said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.””

Job 1:8 “8 And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?””

Job 1:9 “9 Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason?”

Job 1:10 “10 Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.”

Job 1:11 “11 But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.””

Job 1:12 “12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.”

Job was minding his own business, living for God, and God without Jobs’ permission decided to use him for His own purposes.
Job tells God, You did’t ask my permission, You don’t need my permission. You didn’t even give me a heads up, BUT I’m stil going to praise You. Naked I came…

Ephesians 2:10 “10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Job 2:6 “6 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.””

Job 1:21 “21 And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.””

We won’t Understand and People won’t Understand

Job’s 3 friends begin to accuse him of secret sin.
Don’t let them get to you.
You don’t know what your going to have to go through to get to where God wants to take you and you want to go.

Job 4:7 “7 “Remember: who that was innocent ever perished? Or where were the upright cut off?”

Job 4:8 “8 As I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.”

Proverbs 3:5 “5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”

Proverbs 3:6 “6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Proverbs 3:7 “7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.”

God won’t let It Go on Forever

Job 42:7 “7 After the Lord had spoken these words to Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.”

Job 42:8 “8 Now therefore take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.””

Job 42:9 “9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did what the Lord had told them, and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.”

Job 42:10 “10 And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

Galatians 6:9 “9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
