Missions

Sending Celebration of 22 missionaries
I had an opportunity to meet 2 of them
I can’t give names but
I can tall you that one family was already serving in Budapest, Hungary
and they knew Kalman and Julia Kovacs that we support already
The other is headed to South Asia
tell story of of how we met him
NC Baptist Executive Director-Treasurer Todd Unsicker
announced a new missions engagement initiative
aimed at helping churches live out the Great Commission.
IT’s called Missions Engagement
and is a four fold process including
strategizing, mobilizing, caring, and connecting.
This creates a much needed place for the NC Baptists
to place them between the International MIssion Board and
the NC BAptist Churches as a liason
and a connection to our NC Baptist Missionaries on the field
We reelected Allen Murray as President
I’m so grateful for his direction and knowledge.
His presidential address was essentially
in order to be on mission together
we need to be in prayer together first.
He said that prayer is no bookend for the Christian on mission
prayer is the mission
Other notable numbers are that
baptisms were up this year
We were the highest giving state to both Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong offerings
We are also the number one state in missionaries sent.
