The Weapons of Our Warfare - The Word of God

Our final and most powerful weapon the most powerful of all is

7. The Word of God – was in the beginning, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God; the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

2 Sam 20:31 – the word of the Lord is flawless

Isa 55:11 will not return void, but accomplishes what God desires and achieves the purpose for which He sent it

Eph 6:17 – it’s the sword of the Spirit

Heb 4:12 – it’s living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Jas 1:22 – is not merely to be listened to, but you are to do what it says

It is our guide to eternal life, our directions for living now

Finally, it is the only thing God honors above the name of Jesus

We’ve talk about the war, the enemy, the weapons we have at our disposal. Now how do we access these weapons?

The only way to access our weapons in the military is you must

 First enlist, you have to member of the team

 Then you are selected for a certain job

 Then you must study and learn your job – we call it OJT or on the job training

 Then before you go into battle, you must receive weapons training – because you see it’s one thing to do your job it’s quite another to go into battle

Now gaining access to the spiritual weapons, there is only one way to gain access to these spiritual weapons

 First, you enlist in the army of Christ by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

 Then you develop a relationship with the keeper of the weapons \

 You train and study, you cannot get proficient at your task unless you train and study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth

 Next, you pray and find out what your position or job is – don’t just run out there doing what you think, spend time with the commanding officer and find out what it is you are supposed to be doing.

So ladies, the choice is now yours, are you a part of the team, or do you need to join? There’s no time like the present, join the team.
