I Thank My God
I Thank My God
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy,
for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,
being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
The Attitude of Ingratitude
The Attitude of Ingratitude
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Professing to be wise, they became fools,
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
I Thank My God
I Thank My God
He is the God of mercy
He is the God of grace
Thanksgiving is not just a holiday. It is an attitude for living: “Thanks-Living”.
Our attitude should reflect a heart of gratitude.
I Thank My God for YOU
I Thank My God for YOU
In every remembrance
In every prayer
Making request for you with joy
In mutual fellowship (in the gospel)
In mutual growth
He who has begun a good work in you (God), will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
John Newton: “I am not what I ought to be, I am not what I want to be, I am not what I hope to be in another world; but still I am not what I once used to be, and by the grace of God I am what I am.”
We should be thankful for one another and express it word and deed.
Great Grace
Great Grace
And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.
Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,
and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.
