The old nature is weak, even though the Spirit is willing. We find ourselves failing and sinning when we depend on our old nature. But we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. Jesus persevered through anguish in Gethsemane. We too can persevere if we rely on him, his Spirit in us. If we pray in advance, we will be prepared for situations later on.
