Call to Worship: Psalm 100:4, Psalm 122:1, John 4:24
1. Psalm 100:4 and 122:1 convey enthusiasm. We all know how we want to dress for service. How
do we become enthused?
2. “Spirit and truth” is one of the most quoted phrases in the Bible. What did it mean to a devout
Old Testament Jew, and what does it mean to us now?
3. P How do these verses relate to the principles conveyed during Pastor Gary's sermon?
Sermon: Romans 12:3-8
1. St. Basil said: "When we live our lives in isolation, what we have is unavailable and what we lack
is unprocurable."
a. Give a scriptural example of a congregation, working in community, providing for
someone or some group in need.
b. P Share an example of how being in community afforded you the opportunity to use
your gift/gifts.
2. Pastor Gary said that the book of Romans provides ample guidance on transitioning from of life
of useless and lost to fruitful and saved. Share some scriptures from this book that provide that
guidance.

congregation, can we ensure that people have the opportunity to use their gifts?

substantial contribution his/her fellow Jews or Christians.
