We are more than conquerors because God is for us (Rom. 8:31)
Paul asks: “What, then, shall we say in response to this?” (Rom. 8:31). Every student should ask: In response to what? Paul has just affirmed the certainty of our salvation in Christ. He has said that God is working all things for good to those called to His purpose. God foreknew us, predestined us to be like Jesus, called us, justified us, and glorified us (Rom. 8:28-30) “What, then, shall we say in response to this?” (Rom. 8:31). Paul answers: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31)
How we know God is for us? (Rom. 8:32)
He who did not spare [withhold] his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? (Rom. 8:32).
God is not going to change His mind about us. He did not bring us this far to leave us. He did not lift us up to let us down. What He has started, He will finish. “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Phil.1:6)
In Romans 8:32, Paul reasons from the greater to the lesser. He says that God did not spare or withhold the greater part. He has already sacrificed His own Son so we could become His children. God has already loved us so much that He sacrificed the greatest treasure of heaven for us
We are more than conquerors because God is the final Judge (Rom. 8:33-34)
“Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.  Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us” (Rom. 8:33-34).
Satan, demons, and humans may accuse us, and they often do. The word Satan means “accuser” in Hebrew (Rev. 12:9-10). But God is the only Judge of the universe. And He is the One who has already justified us in Christ. The Word of God says, “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1). Whoever accuses those in Christ is wasting time and effort. God is for us. He is not going to change. And He is the Judge of judges. There is no place to appeal God’s decision. The court of heaven is the supreme court of the universe.
We are more than conquerors because nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord(Rom. 8:31-39).
Romans 8 begins with no condemnation in Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:1). And it ends with no separation in Jesus Christ (Rom.  8:39). Praise the Lord! What an awesome chapter. Throughout Romans 6–8, Paul has made it clear that those who follow the flesh will die. But those of us led by the Spirit will live forever. When Jesus Christ is our Lord, the present is anchored in hope and surrounded by love. And the future is glorious and certain
