Introduction
Well, If you have your Bibles, you can take them and open them to Galatians chapter 3. This will be our last sermon in the book of Galatians before we break for the year, and we will pick up Galatians again in January. The passage this morning, sets before us a question, that I think everyone has to ask themselves when reflecting on the work of God in our salvation and sanctification.

a. The Work of Christ
Leviticus 16
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Galatians 1:3–4 “Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.”
Galatians 3:14 “The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles by Christ Jesus, so that we could receive the promised Spirit through faith.”
Hebrews 7- Jesus is the Better Priest
2 Samuel 7:16 “Your house and kingdom will endure before me forever, and your throne will be established forever.’ ”” (Jesus is King)
b. The Work of the Spirit
The Spirit Seals Our Salvation
Ephesians 1:13 “In him you also were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed.”
The Spirit helps us put flesh to death
Romans 8:13 “because if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.”
The Spirit gives us assurance
Romans 8:16 “The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children,”
The Spirit Intercedes for us
Romans 8:26 “In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.”
The Spirit helps in our sanctification
1 Corinthians 6:11 “And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
