In this passage Paul continues his teaching on the preeminence of Christ by unveiling the profound mystery of Christ in us, the believer’s only hope of glory. Having challenged the false doctrines that diminished Christ’s divinity or denied His sufficiency, Paul now presses forward to proclaim the surpassing excellency of Jesus—showing that our faith, our hope, and our spiritual maturity rest entirely in Him alone.
