INTRO:
There are times in our life when it seem as if we lose our sight of direction. But we look up to God for direction while on this spiritual walk.
CONNECTIONS
For the bible says in:
Isa 43:16 - Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
(Tell the story of the mother and the little boy)
I know that God is able to:
Make a way out of no way.
Make a unclear way clear, even when that path may seem dim.
We are only vulnerable when we walk by sight, instead of by faith.
Or walking in the flesh instead of in the spirit.
For we have forgotten that Satan’s main purpose:
Is to destroy our fellowship with God
John 10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy..
Make straight paths, un-straight
2 Cor 2:11 - Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
For sight that would weaken our faith.
But the Bible says in:
1 Peter 1:7 - ‘That the trial of your faith , being much more precious than of gold the perisheth though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.’
Ps 5:11-6:1 - ‘But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice; let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them; let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with shield.’
You see, God has:
Sight beyond sight
Proverbs 15:3 - The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Beholding the evil and the good.
He will always guide our footsteps
Ps 119:105 - ‘Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path.’
Even when we cannot see things clearly
1 Cor 13:12 - For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am know.
2 Cor 4:18 - While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
CLOSING:
So always trust in your faith your belief in God and all the things that God will do and all that he has done for you.
