Intro to Series

Today is week 2 of this Advent season. You might notice we have two candles lit. Each week representing the very things that Jesus Christ at his birth came to bring. Last week was hope, and we heard this incredible account of God revealing himself in the story of Hagar, delivering hope to a woman who felt hopeless. Abandoned. Alone. God appeared in the angel of the LORD and revealed Himself as the God who see. The God who brings hope to the hopeless. That is who our God is.
But now we are to week two. The second candle is lit, and this candle stands for? Peace. Peace. I want to take a moment. Close your eyes and think of a moment in your life when you felt completely and totally at peace. For me,
