2ND COMING OF JESUS

WELCOME
TITLE
PRAY
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, Today, I invite you to lift up your eyes, to open your hearts, and to fasten your faith upon the most thrilling, glorious promise ever given to the people of God: the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! This is not a fable. This is not a metaphor. This is the living hope of every true believer — a literal, physical, visible, and audible return of the King of kings! Let us not forget the words of Jesus Himself in John 14:1-3: 'Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions… I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.' This is no idle promise. It is the assurance of the One who cannot lie! The Bible is clear — the Second Coming will not be a secret event. Revelation 1:7 declares, 'Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him.' Not just the righteous, not just the faithful, but every eye — even those who pierced Him. The return of Jesus will be global, unmistakable, and glorious! The Apostle Paul, in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, gives us a vivid description: 'For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.' Did you hear that, church? A shout! A trumpet! The resurrection of the righteous dead! This is not a quiet event — this is the greatest rescue mission in the history of the universe! The prophet Isaiah foresaw this glorious day when he wrote in Isaiah 25:9: 'And it will be said in that day: Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us.' As Seventh-day Adventists, we are a people of prophecy. We do not base our faith on feelings or fantasies, but on the sure Word of God. Daniel 2 revealed the rise and fall of empires — Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome — all fulfilled with pinpoint accuracy. Daniel 8 and 9 foretold the exact time of Christ’s first coming. We have seen prophecy after prophecy fulfilled, and now we stand on the edge of eternity, waiting for the last great promise to be fulfilled — the Second Coming of Jesus! Jesus Himself warned us in Matthew 24:23-27: 'Then if anyone says to you, "Look, here is the Christ!" or "There!" do not believe it... For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.' His return will be sudden, brilliant, and seen by all! In Acts 1:11, the angels told the disciples: 'Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.' The same Jesus, in the same physical form, will return — not a spirit, not a symbol, but the risen, glorified Savior. Let the scoffers mock. Let the world sleep. But we, the remnant people of God, will not be found slumbering. Peter warned us in 2 Peter 3:3-4: 'Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming?"' But we know — we know — that He is not slack concerning His promise. Jesus said in Matthew 24:30-31: 'Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven... and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels... and they will gather together His elect.' Oh, church, do not grow weary. Do not be lulled into complacency. Jesus is coming soon — and He is coming for you. He is coming to wipe away every tear, to end every pain, to silence every doubt, and to reign forever in righteousness and peace. Romans 13:11 reminds us: 'And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.' Hebrews 10:37 says: 'For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry.' So I ask you today: Are you ready? Have you surrendered your heart fully to Him? Are you living each day as if it could be your last on this earth? Because soon — very soon — the heavens will part, the trumpet will sound, and the Son of Man will appear in power and great glory! Philippians 3:20-21 tells us: 'For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body.' Let us live with urgency. Let us preach with fire. Let us love with purity. And let us look up, for our redemption draws near! Titus 2:13 calls us to be 'looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.' And finally, Revelation 22:12 echoes the voice of Jesus: 'And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.' Ellen G. White wrote in The Great Controversy, page 640: 'Soon there appears in the east a small black cloud, about half the size of a man’s hand. It is the cloud which surrounds the Savior and which seems in the distance to be shrouded in darkness. The people of God know this to be the sign of the Son of Man. In solemn silence they gaze upon it as it draws nearer the earth, becoming lighter and more glorious, until it is a great white cloud, its base a glory like consuming fire, and above it the rainbow of the covenant.' Maranatha, church! Jesus is coming again — literally, physically, audibly, visibly — and He is coming for you. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
