1. John 4:10–14 – Jesus: The Living Water
Identity Revealed: He satisfies the deepest thirst of the human soul.
Key Truth: Every person drinks from wells that eventually run dry—success, relationships, pleasure, money, approval. Jesus alone gives water that becomes “a fountain…springing up into everlasting life.”
Application: Life in Christ means no longer depending on the world for fulfillment. His Spirit becomes an internal, continual source of life.
2. John 6:32–35 – Jesus: The Bread of Life
Identity Revealed: He is the sustenance of our souls.
Key Truth: Just as bread keeps the physical body alive, Jesus keeps our spirit alive. “He who comes to Me shall never hunger.”
Application: Spiritual hunger is only fed by Christ’s presence, Christ’s words, and Christ’s life within us. Nothing else satisfies.
3. John 8:12 – Jesus: The Light of the World
Identity Revealed: He dispels every form of darkness.
Key Truth: Darkness brings confusion, fear, deception, and bondage. Jesus brings clarity, hope, and direction.
Application: Following Jesus means walking in revelation—where sin loses its grip and truth governs our steps.
4. John 10:7–10 – Jesus: The Door
Identity Revealed: The only entry point into salvation, safety, and spiritual freedom.
Key Truth: Religion is not the door. Human effort is not the door. Good works are not the door. Jesus alone opens the way to life.
Application: To “enter through the Door” means surrender, trust, and dependence on Christ alone.
5. John 10:11–18 – Jesus: The Good Shepherd
Identity Revealed: He leads, feeds, protects, and lays down His life for His sheep.
Key Truth: A hired hand abandons the sheep—Jesus never does.
Application: Life in Christ means learning to hear His voice above all other voices—culture, fear, temptation, and self.
6. John 11:17–27, 32–44 – Jesus: The Resurrection and the Life
Identity Revealed: He doesn’t just give life—He is life.
Key Truth: Everything dead, broken, or impossible becomes possible in His presence.
Application: Wherever Jesus is invited, resurrection happens—faith rises, hope returns, and defeat becomes victory.
7. John 14:1–7 – Jesus: The Way, the Truth, and the Life
Identity Revealed: He is the exclusive path to the Father.
Key Truth: Truth is not an idea—it’s a person. The way to God is not a system—it’s a relationship.
Application: Life in Christ is a journey of following Jesus, believing Jesus, and living through Jesus.
8. John 15:1–17 – Jesus: The True Vine
Identity Revealed: He is the source of all spiritual fruit and transformation.
Key Truth: “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” Abiding is not optional—it is the lifeline.
Application: Fruitfulness comes from remaining connected—prayer, obedience, Word, and love—not striving or self-effort.
