Day 10 Proverbs chapter 10
Principal learnt: The righteous are sustained by their words and their work, but the wicked are ruined by them (Proverbs 10:19, 31-32; 10:4-5)
A key theme in this chapter is that a righteous life, characterized by diligent work and restrained, truthful speech, leads to security and blessing. In contrast, a wicked life, marked by laziness and reckless words, leads to poverty and ruin. My words and work are not just actions; they are a direct reflection and consequence of my heart's condition
Need assessment;
I am often too quick to speak, especially in moments of frustration or humor, without considering the spiritual weight and consequences of my words. I also sometimes do just enough work to get by, lacking the diligence that honors God.
Objective and action plan
I will practice the "pause" before speaking, especially in digital communication, to ensure my words are truthful and gracious. I will also complete one task I have been procrastinating on with excellence as I have mentioned in day 6
Academic reflection
A call to delight in work and good ethics reminds me that my work and speech are my primary areas where I can worship God anywhere and serve my neighbors for his glory.
