12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—
13 for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law.
14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.
15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.
16 And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification.
17 For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.
19 For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.
20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,
21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Death through Adam Life through Jesus
Death through Adam Life through Jesus
12— What’s that THEREFORE there for?
Salvation is through ONE man, Jesus.
Sin entered the world through one man Adam.
13-14— Sin was in the world even before the LAW was written.
Gen. 6 tells us that ALL of the thoughts of men were ONLY EVIL
Adam represented all of humanity, just like “the one who was to com” Jesus
15-16— Because of Adam’s sin many died, because of Jesus’s sacrifice many more have lived
Justification was brought even after MILLENIA of sinning
17— If Adam brought death how much more will the sacrifice of Jesus bring life and righteousness?
18-19— Adam brought Death to us all
Jesus brings life to us all
This is NOT UNIVERSALISM. Faith in Jesus is required for salvation.
20-21— The Law makes us aware of our sin

Romans 10:14–15 “14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!””
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
