2 Corinthians 5:10 ESV
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
1 Corinthians 3:10–15 ESV
10 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. 11 For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13 each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.
Romans 14:10–12 ESV
10 Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; 11 for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” 12 So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.

The Bema Seat Is for Believers Only

The Bema Seat is not about salvation
about evaluation, reward, and accountability for how we lived after salvation.
Your life today determines your reward in the Kingdom tomorrow.
Greek: βῆμα — bēma, an elevated platform for evaluation, not condemnation.
The issue here is not sin, but service.
You’re judged for how faithfully you used what you were given (1 Cor 4:2).

The Test Is About Motive, Faithfulness, and Fruitfulness

Christ tests our works like fire tests materials:
Gold, silver, precious stones → eternal value
Wood, hay, straw → burned up
What survives becomes your reward.
“Each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor” (1 Cor 3:8).

The Result Is Eternal Reward or Loss — Not Loss of Salvation

“He will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved” (1 Cor 3:15).
Loss means lost opportunity, position, and rewards
You get one lifetime to earn eternal reward

How We See This in the News

Escalating Lawlessness & Moral Confusion
As deception increases, faithful obedience becomes harder
Believers who stay faithful in chaos have greater reward (Rev 2:25–28; 3:11).
Opportunities for Bold Witness Multiply
Every act of courage, generosity, faithfulness, and truth-telling is a rewardable moment
Increasing Pressure to Compromise
Standing firm now is building your reward
Action Over Comfort

THE FIVE CROWNS

You will be wearing something that reflects your faithfulness, 5 Crowns:
—>Imperishable Crown — self-control, discipline (1 Cor 9:24–25)
1 Corinthians 9:24–25 ESV
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
Imperishable Crown
2. —> Crown of Rejoicing — soul-winning (1 Thess 2:19)
1 Thessalonians 2:19 ESV
19 For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?
Imperishable Crown
2. Crown of Rejoicing — soul-winning (1 Thess 2:19)
3. —> Crown of Righteousness — loving His appearing (2 Tim 4:8)
2 Timothy 4:8 ESV
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
Imperishable Crown
2. Crown of Rejoicing — soul-winning (1 Thess 2:19)
3. Crown of Righteousness — loving His appearing (2 Tim 4:8)
4. —>Crown of Life — endurance under trial (James 1:12; Rev 2:10)
Revelation 2:10 ESV
10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
James 1:12 ESV
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
Imperishable Crown

5. —>Crown of Glory — faithful shepherding (1 Pet 5:1–4)
1 Peter 5:1–4 ESV
1 So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: 2 shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; 3 not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
Imperishable Crown
2. Crown of Rejoicing — soul-winning (1 Thess 2:19)
3. Crown of Righteousness — loving His appearing (2 Tim 4:8)
