Scripture

Psalm 119:11 (ESV)
11  I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
Psalm 1:1–3 (ESV)
The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked
Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
Ephesians 5:18–20 (ESV)
18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, 20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
Colossians 3:16 (ESV)
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Be master of your Bibles, brethren: whatever other works you have not searched, be at home with the writings of the prophets and apostles. “Let the word of God dwell in you richly.”
Charles Spurgeon
In Paul’s mind being filled with the Word or having the Word dwell in you richly and being filled with the Spirit are the same.
Timothy Keller
