INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
John 16:7–11 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”
Jesus said it is better if he goes away yet we would all love to sit and have a conversation with him. We would give anything to most likely.
Have we become familiar with the Holy Spirit?
John 20:22 “And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
Genesis 2:7 “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”
They walked with God. We lost the presence of God in the garden. Intimacy is restored through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was redeeming what was lost.
The intimacy and the connection you have with God could not be accomplished without the Holy Spirit.
Acts 10:45 “And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.”
Acts 8:20 “But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!”
Receieved as a free gift not through your works or perfection
HONOUR HIS PRESENCE
HONOUR HIS PRESENCE
HUB MEETING STORY
He is like a dove, sensitive. The manfiested presence /glory of the Holy Spirit will never be where He is not honoured.
The indwelling presence never never leaves. You are sealed forever.
Ephesians 4:30 “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”
We greive Him when we do not honour Him
TIME (TEE-MAY)= HONOUR= Something that is valuable, highly esteemed, worth a precious price.
To honour someone is to hold them in high esteem, placing them of high value.
KABOD (KAW-BODE)= GLORY/HONOUR= Weight, splendor, glory, and honour.
There is nothing more valuable then the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.””
Do not become familiar
RELATIONSHIP
RELATIONSHIP
Every healthy relationship comes with an attitude of honour.
What if the reason many believers are bound is because they have no relationship with the Holy Spirit?
John 16:12–15 ““I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

WAYS WE DISHONOUR THE HOLY SPIRIT
WAYS WE DISHONOUR THE HOLY SPIRIT
WHEN YOU DISHONOUR YOUR OWN TEMPLE- THAT BELONGS TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
1 Corinthians 6:19 “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”
WHEN YOU BELIEVE LIES ABOUT GOD AND YOURSELF
Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
ATTRIBUTING THE WORKS OF GOD TO THE DEVIL
Matthew 12:31–32 ““Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.”
DISOBEYING THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
1 Thessalonians 5:19 “Do not quench the Spirit.”
COMING AGAINST GOD’S ANOINTED
1 Samuel 26:9 “But David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him; for who can stretch out his hand against the Lord’s anointed, and be guiltless?””
BECOMING FAMILIAR WITH MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD
Mark 6:5–6 “Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.”
John 4:44 “For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.”
