Walking as a Born-Again Child of God

I was called a meth head
I was called a pothead
I was called a thief
I was called a liar
I was called a cheater
NOW I AM CALLED A CHILD OF GOD!
Walking as a Born-Again Child of God There is no greater miracle on earth than the moment a human soul is born again. Heaven celebrates it, hell fears it, and creation itself recognizes it. When a person receives Jesus Christ—not as an idea, not as a religion, but as Lord and Savior—something supernatural happens deep within their spirit. God breathes His own life, His own nature, His own Spirit into them, and from that moment on, they are no longer who they used to be.
To be born again is not simply a new chapter in your story… it is a brand-new story altogether. It is God rewriting your identity, re-forming your heart, and restoring you to the life you were created for. It is God moving you from death to life, from darkness to light, from slavery to sonship. And this is not a cold transaction—this is a loving transformation. This is the heart of the Father drawing His children home.
When you are born again, your entire walk changes. You don’t walk as someone trying to earn God’s acceptance anymore—you walk because you are accepted. You don’t walk in fear—you walk in the confidence of a chosen, beloved child. You don’t walk bound by your past—you walk in the freedom purchased by the blood of Jesus. The Holy Spirit becomes your companion, your counselor, your strength, your guide, and your fire. He teaches you how to walk like Jesus walked, to love like Jesus loved, and to live with purpose, purity, and power.
Being born again is more than a moment at an altar—it is a lifelong journey of walking with the One who now lives inside of you. God doesn’t just save you; He indwells you. He doesn’t just forgive you; He transforms you. He doesn’t just call you His child; He empowers you to walk like one. This walk is not heavy—it's holy. It’s not burdensome—it’s beautiful. It’s not religious—it’s relational. It is the daily, intimate, Spirit-led adventure of learning how to think with His mind, feel with His heart, respond with His love, and stand in His authority.
And here is the good news: God does not expect you to walk this walk alone. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, enabling you, teaching you, shaping you, and leading you step by step. Every day, He whispers, “This is the way… walk in it.” Every battle you face, He says, “You’re not alone… I am with you.” Every time the enemy tries to remind you of your old life, the Spirit lifts up a standard and declares, “You are a child of God, born of the Spirit, washed in the blood, sealed for eternity.”
So today, as we step into this teaching, I want you to lean in. I want your heart to open wide. I want your spirit to be awakened with fresh fire. Because walking as a born-again child of God is not a small thing. It is the greatest honor, the highest calling, and the deepest joy of your life. This is your new identity. This is your new walk. This is your new way of living—a life empowered by the Spirit, anchored in God’s love, and overflowing with the presence of Jesus.
You are born again. You are God’s child. Now it’s time to walk like it—with love, with boldness, with holiness, and with the fire of the Holy Ghost burning within you.
.

1. You Walk in a New Identity

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
When you are born again, you become a new creation. Your past is forgiven, but more importantly—your nature is changed. You are no longer a slave to sin. You are a son or daughter of the King. You walk with confidence because you know whose you are.
Spirit-Filled Thought: Salvation is not God making bad people good — it is God making dead people alive. When you are born again, heaven enters you before you ever enter heaven.
Key Details:
God doesn’t clean the old you — He creates a new you.
Your spirit receives God’s own life (Greek: zoe).
Born again is not improving — it is becoming.

2. You Walk by the Spirit, Not the Flesh

Scripture: Galatians 5:16 “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
Walking as a born-again child means you let the Holy Spirit lead your decisions, emotions, and desires. The flesh pulls down—but the Spirit lifts you into the life of Christ.
Spirit-Filled Thought: Your new identity is not earned by performance but secured by Christ’s blood. You don’t grow into a child of God — you start as one.
Key Details:
Old labels break; new identity rises.
You walk with confidence, not condemnation.
Heaven calls you “son/daughter,” not “sinner.”

3. You Walk in Fellowship With God

Scripture: John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” Born-again children know God’s voice. They walk daily with Him—through prayer, worship, listening, and obedience. Christianity is not a religion… it’s a relationship.
Spirit-Filled Thought: The Holy Spirit is not just near you — He is within you, pulling you into freedom, holiness, and Christlikeness with every step.
Key Details:
The Spirit empowers what the flesh cannot do.
Victory begins with surrendered steps.
Every prompting of the Spirit leads to life.

4. You Walk in Love—God’s Nature

Scripture: 1 John 4:7–8 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” Being born again means receiving God’s love into your heart. As His child, His love flows through you—changing how you treat people, speak, forgive, and lead.
Spirit-Filled Thought: Born-again believers don’t follow God at a distance — they walk closely with a Shepherd who speaks, leads, and loves them daily.
Key Details:
You hear, know, and respond to His voice.
Relationship replaces ritual.
Intimacy becomes your new home.

5. You Walk in Power and Authority

Scripture: Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” A born-again child of God does not live defeated. You walk in the authority Jesus gave you—authority over sin, fear, darkness, and the attack of the enemy. You walk from victory, not for victory.
Spirit-Filled Thought: God’s love doesn’t visit the born-again heart — it takes over, reshaping how you see God, yourself, and everyone around you.
Key Details:
Love becomes your nature, not just an action.
Forgiveness flows because love fuels it.
You love others with God’s heart inside you.

6. You Walk in Holiness and Purity

Scripture: 1 Peter 1:16 “because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”” Holiness isn’t legalism—it’s identity. You walk differently because you are different. The Spirit inside of you produces purity, integrity, righteousness, and conviction.
Spirit-Filled Thought: Holiness is not a burden — it is alignment with who you truly are now that God’s Spirit lives in you.
Key Details:
Purity becomes natural when identity is understood.
Holiness is the fragrance of a transformed life.
The Spirit gives you new appetites and desires.

7. You Walk With Purpose and Mission

Scripture: Matthew 5:14–16 ““You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Born-again children shine. You carry the fire, the light, and the presence of God everywhere you go—work, school, family, city. You live with purpose, knowing your life has eternal weight.
Spirit-Filled Thought: When you are born again, you don’t just receive light — you become light, carrying the presence of Jesus into dark places.
Key Details:
Your life shines even when you’re silent.
Purpose awakens when identity becomes clear.
You represent Jesus wherever your feet step.

8. You Walk in Confidence of God’s Love

Scripture: Romans 8:15–16 “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,” You are not an orphan. Not rejected. Not abandoned. The Spirit inside you cries, “Abba, Father!” You walk boldly because your Father walks with you.
Spirit-Filled Thought: You no longer walk like an orphan trying to earn love — you walk as a beloved child who already has the Father’s heart, favor, and attention.
Key Details:
The Spirit confirms your sonship daily.
Fear breaks when identity settles.
God’s love becomes your foundation, not insecurity.

9. You Walk in Transformation

Scripture: Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Being born again means you are constantly growing, changing, and becoming more like Jesus. The Word renews your mind and shifts your thinking from earthly to Kingdom.
Spirit-Filled Thought: Transformation is not the result of striving harder — it is the natural product of staying close to Jesus and letting His Word renew your mind.
Key Details:
Renewal shifts you from earthly thinking to Kingdom thinking.
You begin to desire what God desires.
Every day becomes a step toward Christlikeness.

10. You Walk in Victory Over Sin

Scripture: Romans 6:14 “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” You’re not perfect, but sin no longer has dominion. You walk free—not by willpower, but by Spirit-power. Grace is not permission to sin—it's power to live holy.
Spirit-Filled Thought: Victory is not something you chase — it’s something you stand in because sin’s authority over your life has been permanently broken.
Key Details:
Sin is dethroned; Christ is enthroned.
Grace becomes empowerment, not excuse.
Your new nature rejects what your old nature loved.

🔥 ALTAR CALL: “Step Into the New Life God Is Offering You” 🔥

Church, hear me today… The Holy Spirit is moving right now. Not later. Not tomorrow. Now.
Some of you have been near God, but not new in God. Some of you have been around church, but not born of the Spirit. Some of you have walked for years carrying the weight of the old life— the shame, the habits, the wounds, the cycles, the emptiness— but today, Jesus is calling you into something brand-new.
This is your moment of new birth. This is your moment of surrender. This is your moment to step out of darkness and into marvelous light.
The Word says: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” Not improved. Not patched up. Not slightly better. New. Completely new.
And the Spirit of God is reaching for you right now— not with condemnation, but with compassion. Not with shame, but with a Father’s love. Not with anger, but with outstretched arms that say, “Come home… I’ve been waiting for you.”
If you’re tired of the old life… If you’re tired of running… If you’re tired of pretending… If you’re tired of fighting battles without the power of God inside you… then today is your day.
Jesus died so you could live. He rose so you could rise. He came so you could be born again— born into a new identity, a new walk, a new Spirit-filled life.
And if you’re here saying, “Lord, I don’t just want to know about You— I want to belong to You… I want to walk with You… I want the Spirit living inside me,” then this call is for you.
I’m going to ask you to do something bold. Something courageous. Something eternal.
If you know this word is for you… If you feel that pull in your spirit… If your heart is burning inside your chest… don’t resist Him.
Stand to your feet. Step out of your seat. Run to this altar. The Father is calling His children home.
Come out of the old. Come out of the pain. Come out of the sin. Come out of the fear. Come out of the shame.
Step into the new creation life God has for you.
As you come, lift your hands. Open your heart. Let the Holy Spirit breathe new life into you.
Pray this from your heart: “Jesus, I surrender. I give You my whole life. Make me new. Fill me with Your Spirit. Let me walk as Your child—from this day forward. I belong to You.”
Now, let the fire of God wash over you… Let the love of the Father embrace you… Let the Holy Spirit fill you and break every chain… Let the old things fall off, and the new life rise up.
Welcome home. Welcome to new life. Welcome to the family of God. Welcome to walking as a born-again child of the King. 🔥
