Communion

Let’s prepare ourselves for the receiving of the elements
1 Corinthians 11:27–30 “Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But a man must test himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep.”
Let’s examine ourselves as we sing in preparation.
As the Deacons come up to serve communion, let me remind us about communion. It is a time of remembering the greatest sacrifice. Jesus suffered and died and rose again for us and by faith in Jesus we are born again.
I invite anyone to participate. You do not need to be a member of Wildwood Chapel but you MUST be in a personal relationship with Jesus. Paul reminds us of this truth in 1 Corinthians 11:27-29.

Hand trays to Deacons: “serve those who know Him”.

Pick up the bread and read Paul’s word from 1 Corinthians 11:23–24 “For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was being betrayed took bread, and when He had given thanks,

He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”” let’s eat together as we remember what the Lord has done.
Wait a minute or so and read 1 Corinthians 11:25 “In the same way He took the cup

also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.””
Let us drink together as we remember the Lord.
Wait a minute or so and then direct everyone to sing the closing song.
