Questions:

Do you think serial killers like jeffery dahmer and others like him who claimed they met Christ went to heaven. Romans 10:13
Romans 10:13 ESV
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Paul was a murderer
Is it wrong to think that people who commit suicide are selfish cause when we talked about it in class that is what I thought about it
I want to be careful in my answer
It’s not wrong because sin has consequences that affect others, and suicide is unfortunately murder. Doesn’t mean they go to hell but you are affected negatively.
Often, it does feel like they were selfish because if they did it out of depression that is a struggle with thinking about yourself and how you feel all the time.
But I want to push you towards forgiveness as Christ has forgiven you.
What is the process like for God healing anxiety or depression?
Slow but beautiful.
My own testimony with both and how that drove me to community.
don’t do it alone.
Stay in prayer and scripture.
God’s power is made perfect in your weakness. His grace is sufficient for you 2 Cor. 12:9
2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
1. If the devil "knows" how to mess with you, and when and where to tempt you or how to get you to do wrong things, does that mean the devil is all knowing like God? If not, how does the devil know that stuff?
There is not a ton of scripture that specifically talks about this, but stuff we can piece together.
Ephesians 6:12 ESV
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
This is the same text that talks about the Amor of God.
Satan is not equally powerful as God.
Satan’s is not king of hell, and his days are numbered until thrown into the pit. Jude talks about this
If God says that He will never push us past our limits, then why do people commit suicide? Combine with other questions about temptation?
references 1 Corinthians 10:13
1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Temptation can take many shapes, but we know from James it does not come from God but your own sinful heart or from Satan.
If temptation comes the best way to fight it is to flee. 1 Corinthians 10:14
1 Corinthians 10:14 ESV
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
1 Corinthians 6:18 ESV
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
In the same book as the text you quoted Paul repeated tells the Corinthians who were constantly being tempted by the culture around them to simply flee it. God will give you the way of escape.
Don’t steep yourself in temptation.
The Lord’s prayer: “Lead us not into temptation.” In other words, “keep me from it.”
Hebrews 12:3–4 ESV
Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
Who was Barabbas, the man released instead of Jesus? Like, what did he do, and who was he?
Easy to do your own research. Look for every mention of him in the text. There should only be a little bit of info in each gospel.
What's your favorite bible verse?
I don’t have a favorite because I love all of scripture. It’s like a collection of love letters to us from our Lord. The Lord has used Psalm 23, Psalm 42, Hebrews 12:4, 2 Corinthians 12:9 in my life. Those texts are very dear to me. I love poetry because English words can only express so much emotion before the Lord has to help me. And when I can’t express it in a Psalm, the Holy Spirit expresses it with groanings too deep for words.
When does it get to the point where you have to let something or someone go?
Friends: when they cause you to sin. If you’re afraid of people hating you, you can be the holiest person to ever live and people will still hate you. If the world crucified a perfect man, how much more will they hate you is imperfect but at least trying to walk in obedience?
Family Members: Hard, but like friends if they cause you to sin then try to at least put distance between you both. Try to be a good witness when you have to see them. Try to still have love
What is the best way to stay true to the lord and avoid temptation?
This is a counseling question. I encourage you to talk to someone who can walk with you in this more personally, but
you need accountability James 5:16
James 5:16 ESV
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
You need to think through what causes you to sin and root those things out.
How to be a good Christian
How to be a Christian on the field when others are tempting you and using bad language towards you?
How to study and read the Bible correctly.
where is the best place to start reading the bible
Is predestination biblical?
Yes, the question is to what extent
Jeremiah shows he knows us in the womb
Is it okay to feel burnt-out/tired of going to church? What if i power through it and go anyways?
It’s normal, but I think you already know the answer because of your follow up question. Church is supposed to be part of your every day life.
what does the bible say about women pastors
1 Timothy 2:12 ESV
I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.
1 Timothy 3 outlines what a pastor should look like
How do you know when you are called to do something?
Is it biblical? Will it glorify the Lord? Is it something you want to do? Then do it.
what is hard about faith for you?
All of it. Sanctification is tough.
There’s temptation, fear, doubt, anxiety, but at the end of it all is a hope for glory beyond our understanding.
How can us as Christians respond to someone being gay or trans
Respond with love. You still respect them even if you don’t agree with them.
I wouldn’t use preferred pronouns and maybe if you have a good enough relationship with them you can respectfully tell them that you can’t do that and betray your own beliefs. I’ve met people that didn’t care that much because what they felt they identified with was so fluid it didn’t matter
Is dating or/and talking biblical in a relationship?
no, but base your relationships on your goal (marriage).
Often times I find my self doing this. When I am doing or thinking something that I know is wrong, I say to myself, "Im going to have to ask for forgivess for this" but contuine to do the wrong thing anyways. What can I do to help myself stop doing what is wrong even if it seems better?
remove yourself from temptation.
what is a simple way to encourage people and hold them accountable in their walk with Christ?
what happens if you believe a different religion you thinks its right so will they go to Hell?
I don’t understand but if you’re asking if your friends will go to hell because they are not Christians then yes. John 14:6
John 14:6 ESV
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Can you fall in love or fall out of love? What is love? Is love a feel or/and a choice?
1 john tells us God is love, and if you don’t love then you don’t know God.
Love can be seen in a few different ways.
romantic- feeling- often lust and thus sin
brotherly- friendly love
What is a women’s rule in the church? Can they preach, teach, or explain their intake on the bible like men can do?
Do you think the book of Revelation is using metaphors when talking about end times or is it literal things that will happen during and after Jesus comes back.
