THE PROMISE week 1

WE ARE 18 DAYS AWAY FROM CHRISTMAS

I LOVE THE SEASON OF CHRISTMAS

HOWEVER, EVERY YEAR THE STRESS AND CHAOS ...

SEEMS TO GROW MORE AND MORE

I WAS THINKING ABOUT THIS AND...

I WONDER.....IF THIS SEASON 2025 YEARS AGO WAS AS CHAOTIC FOR JOSEPH AND MARY

I WONDER IN THE DAYS THAT WOULD FOLLOW JESUS’S BIRTH....

WHAT DID THIS SEASON FEEL LIKE TO THOSE AT THAT TIME

PERHAPS....

JOY ....I MEAN AS WORD WAS SPREAD...PEOPLES HEARTS MUST HAVE LEPT FOR JOY

MAYBE STRESS FOR MARY AND JOSEPH AS THEY FEARED FOR JESUS’S LIFE

MAYBE ANGER FOR THOSE LIKE HEROD WHO WAS BEING DEPLOYED BY SATAN HIMSELF TO END THE LIFE OF JESUS

THINK ABOUT IT.......

THERE HAD TO BE CHAOS IN THIS SEASON AT THAT TIME.

TODAY I WANT TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT HOW

CHRISTMAS DIDN’T BEGIN IN THE MANGER WITH

ANGELS, SHEPHERDS, WISEMEN, AND A SILENT NIGHT.

BUT CHRISTMAS BEGINS IN A BATTLEFIELD

Most people think that Christmas started in Bethlehem

But the real Christmas story begins in a garden —

not with rejoicing,

but with rebellion.

BECAUSE....

Before there was a manger, there was a serpent.

Before there was peace on earth, there was a cosmic war.

Before we ever sang “O Come Let Us Adore Him,”

God looked at Satan and said:

“I’m sending Someone who’s going to crush your head.”

OH COME ON SOMEBODY......

Christmas is not God reacting to sin —

Christmas is God declaring war on hell.

📖 GENESIS 3:15

Genesis 3:15 NIV

15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

THE PROMISE WAS NOT TO ADAM

Most people miss this:

God did NOT give the promise to Adam. God did NOT give the promise to Eve.

God gave the promise to the serpent.

Why?

Because the promise was not comfort for humanity —

it was conflict for hell.

This is the first time in Scripture God speaks directly to Satan.

God is not informing Adam —

He is indicting the enemy.

This means Christmas didn’t begin as a celebration — Christmas began as a PROMISE.

this is known as...… The Protoevangelium

which is considered the first announcement of the gospel, 

The Protoevangelium is promising a Savior who will ultimately defeat evil.

IT IS THE FIRST GOSPEL PREACHED THAT IS RECORDED IN SCRIPTURE....

Not by a prophet,

not by a priest,

not by an apostle —

God Himself preached it to Satan.

It’s the first time God declares:

A woman will carry a Seed

The Seed will produce a Son

The Son will destroy the serpent

OH MY LORD THIS SHOULD MAKE SOMEBODY SHOUT WITH PRAISE

GOD IS DECLARING WAR ON SATAN

AND HE IS MAKING A PROMISE THAT SATAN WILL BE DESTROYED

OH COME ON SOMBEBODY....

You don’t announce a war unless you intend to win it.

GUESS WHAT....THIS IS A PROMISE THAT FOR THOSE WHO REMAIN

WILL WIN THE WAR

YOU WILL HAVE SOME BATTLES THAT YOU LOSE.......TRUE

BUT YOU WILL WIN THE WAR WITH JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR

1. THE PROMISE WAS A DEATH SENTENCE TO THE DEVIL

The word “seed” in Hebrew is zeraʿ — it means:

offspring

lineage

destiny

continuity

Satan wasn’t afraid of a garden — he was afraid of a genealogy.

That’s why the Bible spends entire chapters listing names that we skip over.

We think genealogies are boring.

BUT Hell sees them as battle maps.

THINK ABOUT IT....

Every name in Matthew 1 is a survivor of Satan’s assassination attempts.

It’s not ancestry — it’s victory.

God didn’t curse Adam first. He didn’t confront Eve first.

He confronted the serpent.......Why? LOL

Because you don’t negotiate with terrorists —

you sentence them.

The Hebrew word for crush here means:

to shatter beyond repair

I LOVE THIS......

This isn’t a wound — this is annihilation.

OH COME ON SOMEBODY....

The devil has never been fighting you.... for you

he’s been fighting you for what you carry.

MY LORD HELP ME TODAY....

He’s terrified of the Seed......not the soil.

WATCH THIS.....

The promise BEGINS TO narrow:

From woman (Genesis 3)

To Abraham’s seed (Genesis 22:18)

To Judah’s tribe (Genesis 49:10)

To David’s line (2 Samuel 7:12–13)

Every generation Satan tried to corrupt, kill, or compromise that seed line.

Pharaoh wasn’t JUST killing babies —

he was trying to stop the promise.

Herod wasn’t threatened by a baby —

he was threatened by a throne.

Hell doesn’t fear your now —

hell fears your next.

OH MY LORD I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD SAY AMEN RIGHT NOW....

2. THE DEVIL ATTACKS WHAT GOD ANOINTS EARLY

UNDERSTAND THIS...

The enemy always strikes the heel — the beginning, the infancy, the starting point.

Why?

Because Satan fears potential more than he fears maturity.

THIS IS WHY....

He attacked Moses as a baby

He attacked Israel in infancy

He attacked Jesus through Herod

BECAUSE....

Hell doesn’t wait until you’re strong to fight you —

hell tries to kill you .....before you know who you are.

Every time God gets ready to shift history, a woman goes into labor.

Eve → Humanity

Sarah → Promise

Rebekah → Nation

Hannah → Prophetic voice

Elizabeth → Forerunner

Mary → Messiah

Satan doesn't fear women —

he fears wombs.

He doesn't fear your past —

he fears what you're about to deliver.

Your warfare increases when

something inside you is close to birth.

The fact that the devil attacks you early

is proof you were born with promise.

Your childhood wasn’t random —

your warfare IS evidence.

AND UNDERSTAND THIS....

If he CAN’T destroy the Seed,

he tries to destroy the soil that carries it.

OH MY LORD THAT IS GOOD....

Every attack in the Old Testament —

The giants in Canaan

The exile into Babylon

The attempted genocide under Haman

— IT was Satan trying to stop a womb connected to Jesus.

CHURCH....

Christmas is not sentiment —

Christmas is survival.

The fact the Seed made it to Bethlehem

is proof hell failed.

CAN SOMEBODY GIVE GOD SOME PRAISE...

ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR YOUR PURPOSE

YOUR PROMISE

3. GOD DOESN’T MAKE PROMISES HE CAN’T PERFORM

Man breaks promises. The enemy resists promises.

BUT God fulfills promises.

Isaiah 7:14 NIV

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

CHURCH....

This isn't poetic language.

This is strategic architecture.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT????

A virgin birth bypasses:

human corruption

generational iniquity

the curse on Adam's bloodline

THINK ABOUT IT....

The Seed could not be transmitted through Adam because Adam’s blood was contaminated.

So God wrapped divinity in humanity without contamination.

Jesus is not Adam’s son —

He is Mary’s child and God’s Seed.

OH COME ON SOMEBODY.....

No wonder hell panicked.

CAN YOU IMAGINE SATAN AND HIS ANGELS...

WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO NOW....

IT’S HAPPENING....HOW WE GONNA STOP THIS NOW...

THIS CAN’T HAPPEN...WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING

CAN YOU IMAGINE THE PANICK????? LOL

A virgin birth isn’t poetic —

it’s proof THAT the promise bypassed human participation.

God didn’t need man’s help — He only needed Mary’s womb.

OH COME ON SOMEBODY....

God will speak it through your spirit

before He performs it through your life.

If God promised it,

hell can’t stop it,

history won’t erase it,

and time can’t limit it.

4. THE PROMISE WAS NEVER ABOUT A BABY — IT WAS ABOUT A KING

The manger is not cute — it’s strategic.

Herod wasn’t threatened because of a cradle —

he was threatened because of a crown.

(DON’T READ THE SCRIPTURE, READ BELOW IT)

Micah 5:2 NIV

2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

“Out of you, Bethlehem… will come a ruler OVER ISRAEL…”

Christmas is not about a silent night —

Christmas is about the throne room.

Jesus didn’t come to fit in —

He came to take over.

The enemy tried three strategies in Scripture:

1️⃣ Stop the Seed before it starts Pharaoh kills babies (Exodus 1)

2️⃣ Corrupt the Seed while it forms Israel worships idols, marries pagan nations

3️⃣ Destroy the Seed once revealed Herod murders every boy two and under (Matthew 2)

ALL TO TRY AND STOP THE SEED FROM SOMING FORTH.

But what God births, hell cannot bury.

ALTAR CALL —

If the enemy has been attacking you early, attacking your potential, attacking your mind, attacking your identity —

It’s not because you're weak. It’s because you carry something hell can’t stop.

Today, THESE ALTARS ARE OPEN....I INVITE YOU TO COME.....

GOD IS NOT DONE WITH YOU

IF THE ENEMY IS ATTACKING YOU

COME.........DECLARE

“The Promise still lives in me.”

...............ALTAR..................

WHY BETHLEHEM IS THE BATTLEFIELD

Bethlehem means “House of Bread.”

Jesus later declares:

“I am the Bread of Life.”

THEREFORE....

The Bread was born in the bakery of destiny.

Satan could not stop Him at the seed,

could not stop Him in the womb,

could not stop Him in the manger…

and he DEFINITELY couldn’t stop Him at the tomb.

OH COME ON CAN YOU GIVE HIM A SHOUT OF PRAISE IN THIS HOUSE......

Christmas is not the birth of a tradition — Christmas is the beginning of Satan’s expiration date.
