The Prince of Peace

Isaiah 9:6-7

Child - Luke 2:11-14, Is. 7:14.

The Government shall be on his shoulders - Matt. 28:18.

Wonderful - Judges 13:18 - Secret? = Wonderful = Pil’i = Remarkable, Secret, Wonderful. So extraordinary in nature that it is mysterious.

Here in Judges the Angel=The Messenger of the Lord is the Lord (verses 21-22).

An Eternal Kingdom - Ps. 89:4, Dan. 7:13-14.

The Zeal of the Lord - 2 Kings 19:31, Is. 37:32, Ps. 69:9.

The New Testament authors tell us that Christ fulfilled this John 2:13-17, Romans 15:3.

Christ who is the Messiah, who is the Zeal of the Lord, who is the Wonderful, Mysterious, Remarkable name of the Lord gives Peace to all those who have faith and trust in Him!! John 14:27.

Do you know Him today? Jesus says Come!!!

Application

You Must Know Him! Turn to Christ today!

Rest in Christ’s Peace Amid Life’s Chaos. Anchor your heart in Christ, in this peace and not in circumstances. Let your peace be rooted in His eternal finished work. Phil. 4:7.

Submit to the Reign of Christ. Christ is to have all authority in your life and all of life is to be submitted to him.

Reflect Christ’s Zeal and Peace to Others. Just as Christ’s zeal purified the temple, His Spirit calls us to live with holy passion and to extend His peace to others.
