INTRODUCTION

Good morning and welcome to our Oasis Christmas Carol service. Christmas is a time were people celebrate many things. But for us as believers in Jesus Christ, it is a time for us to come together to worship our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Emmanuel, which means God with us.

LET US PRAY

Father I Pray that as I share your word today, Your Holy Spirit will bring revelation to our lives and we will have a better understanding of being thankful, I pray that our minds will be alert and our hearts open to receive all that you have for us today. Amen
God had a plan that would redeem us, His people, who had been separated from Him because of sin.
Gods plan, was that He, through Christ Jesus, He would come to the earth, live a life without sin and make a way to salvation for us.
The bible tells us, God loved His creation so much, that He sent His only Son to redeem it.

Point 1

THE FATHERS LOVE - THERE IS NO EQUAL

Created in His image
Genesis 1:26–27 NKJV
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
John 3:16–17 NKJV
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
God’s Heart to redeem His creation
The Love of the Father
John 15:13 NKJV
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
God’s plan was to sacrifice Himself for His creation
In the beginning the word was with God and the word was God.

BECAUSE OF THE FATHERS LOVE - THERE IS NO EQUAL - WE CAN TRUST THAT GOD WILL COMPLETE THE WORK

Point 2

WE CAN TRUST THAT GOD WILL COMPLETE THE WORK

Philippians 1:6 NKJV
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
What is the completed work?
Washed clean
Isaiah 1:18 NKJV
18“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
Forgiven / Redeemed
Healed / Whole - By HIs stripes we are healed
Set apart - Called for such a time as this

A NEW CREATION

2 Corinthians 5:17–21 NKJV
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
God had a plan from the beginning
He will and has completed our restoration

REFINERS FIRE

Malachi 3:2–3 NKJV
2“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap. 3He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the Lord An offering in righteousness.

GOD REVEALS HIS PLAN

Matthew 1:20–22 NKJV
20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” 22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
He will speak to you,
Open your hearts to hear Him
Wisdom
His peace that sapasses all our understanding
This Christmas
So this Christmas let us be people that would want and say God use us.
And then let God use you.
OVER THIS CHRISTMAS PERIOD LET US:

Love like God loves

Serve like Jesus served

Bring Joy and Peace to those around you
