service can be very good for you.
service is intentionally meeting another’s need over your own.
Service uplifts you and the people you serve.
it can relieve anxiety
stops you from thinking about yourself for once.
ultimately we serve the Lord and it does not matter who is front of you.
Every act has a Godward focus that is most important.
We serve to be obedient to him not for any earthly reward or regard.

we are called to live as jesus did and he served people constantly. it was his life
He was God but lowered himself to serve us.
talk about last supper and washing of feet. In his last moments he serves his people instead of focusing on himself.
we are no better than anyone else

Doing something good and a service and to the lord will not be in vain. The lord will use all things for his good and glory
So much of what we do can be in vain or useless
Serving the Lord through serving people is never in vain.

The world will say the powerful go on top and tell everyone what to do, they deserve to be served.
it is the way of the world the powerful are served and the weak do the serving.
its called being entitled. If you much money than this often happens.
the way of jesus calls the powerful to serve. God himself washed peoples feet. healed the sick, fed people, there was no act too low for Jesus not to do.
The way subverts those who think they deserve power and lowers them while making those who serve empowered that Jesus did it to.
it levels all of us out. as we should be we are all equally imago dei.

doing a chore for your parents before they ask you

serve in our kitchen
take someones plate to the trash for them
find a service project and do it
mow someones lawn
help a widow
help me move
just do something to help someone else other than yourself and do not make it a onetime thing but a consitent habit in your life
