This holiday season it is good to remind you that you are God’s favored.
1. God’s Favor (v.26-30)
The story already starts out with scandal. Gabriel goes to a place that is seemingly note favored. Nazareth in Galilee, to a poor girl who is betrothed. (Preach)
O favored one...
The Lord is with you...
Found favor means you didn't earn it
2. God’s Promise (v.31-33)
You will conceive...Jesus.
Jesus-Son, Great, Son of the Highest, throne of David, Kingdom will never end.
3. God’s Power (v.34-37)
• First there has to be question. "How can this be?"
• the Holy Spirit and power. Therefore, the child will be called holy, the Son of God-
The same God who made the promise will keep it. Luke’s mention and reference to the Holy Spirit here uses similar language as found in Genesis 1.
• God lets her see in someone else. Elizabeth. (a witness)
