20251216 - Trustee Board Meeting
Bottom left screen on corner of your screen, and you should have a mute button or audio button.
And I also sent you a note to says to ask you to unmute. You may see that on your screen as well.
Either at the bottom of your screen, you should see something that says audio and there might be a line and line in it. And you'll want to set your one to undo audio. Or you may see a button that says that I'm asking you to unmute,
Are you able to hear me? Give me a thumbs up. Okay. So that's about as a fart. Scuse me left corner of your screen. There should be something that looks like. It looks like an The microphone. You might even press alternate a
you can press alternate a at the same time.
And then the only other person we're really waiting for is author.
Work. And I think Cynthia was trying to get him over 1.
Hey, Gina, are you were you able to find the unmute button? So, press all turn it on your keyboard. Hold it down, and press tap a
There it is. I hear you. Yay. Okay. Now you're, you're, you're good, you're fine. So alternate, a, if that if that comes on again, alternate angles turn your microphone on and turn your mic.
Oh, okay. How are you on your? Are you on your cell phone?
Okay. Okay, okay, beautiful. Let me find out where author is.
You've met my husband Richard and he will be the secretary today. But do you see my can you give me?
I'm just wondering if
expand.
In someone else, try to get Arthur in the phone for me.
I'm this, this this meeting is being recorded. I do have other Rucker on on the cell line, going to say something Arthur. Can everyone hear him? Give me a thumbs up if you can hear him. Say that again.
Can you hear him? Okay, he's he's saying hello.
I know. Can you hear him now?
Ultra, can you say something?
Can you hear him?
Nope. Okay. I will try to repeat anything that he says. Since it, since you guys cannot hear me hear him, but I want to go ahead and get this going.
I know, I know I know that is important all but we're making do with what we have. That's what we do. So we are going to Repeat, what he says, if he says anything. And, and that will do for right now. Alright. Alright, let's go ahead and have prayer Our Father. We just thank you. And we praise you for today. We pray, God, that you would be with us and we ask that you would allow us to meet as the trustee board. And then God, we pray that we might be able to get things done and and start putting things on our agenda Horizon. So that Lord, we would bring more order to the physical building called Island St. John an open heart open ears. Open mind to do the business of the church with regard to the physical property of the church. This in Jesus name, we pray. Amen. And amen. Thank you guys for being patient with With my being patient with the technological end. Or of our bar meeting in Zoom, will try to figure out how we can get mr. Rucker On, and On a different platform. But at this time, we're going to go ahead and March for making do with what we have. I'm going to ask Forever, Richard to provide us with the meeting notes. And terms of being a secretary of this particular meeting. Could you please do the roll call for me?
It was a roll call. That's a double last all over men.
Go ahead and your present.
Lucci. Sound like you, my apologies.
Bill Gilkey.
June, Cookies, online. June guilty. Are you, are you going to say, present or you did you walk away?
Can't continue to Rucker. And she he says here to Gilkey. Okay, she is here as we can physically. See her name and Richard lasses here. Beautiful. We do. If if at all possible June, if we can hear your voice that would be great. All right, so what is things I want us to talk about is responsibilities and we're just going to review that we will be having some training for both trusting. Use in stores are in fact, our whole Midwest conference is looking at redoing the training for all stores and all trustees at for Adam Ant at a at a conference level. So that everyone is level said sometimes people can take offense at that because, you know, they've been doing this for a long time. Isn't that where they all say that? You don't know what you're doing, that's not what that is that really doesn't mean that we're trying to do a do a level set on how we do business and making sure that we're all in sync and going in the same direction. And so please just know that talk to you have a question.
Great.
Right. So every year if you want, if you read your discipline every year, there's a training that's needed. So that's a part of the disciplined. Okay. All right, so as we continue on, we also want to know that. The scripture says those those given a trust must be faithful. Thank God, that we have faithful trustees amongst us that wants to, to serve the Lord. And so just know that the overall understanding is that the trustees have the care of the property, over side of the finances relating to the property as well as the legal standing of property, and any kind of needs on which regards to the the property. So another words, we always want to make sure that our property is insured and we want to make sure that that there's no lien. On our property. We want to make sure that the property is incorporated properly and that's really falls under the rubric of that falls under the rubric of the trustee board. Let's continue on So what are things I would like for us to make sure is that we want to hear hear the words of our members few members have to have the few members have come and said me and, you know, our bathrooms are not clean it. So please know that when we're hearing those kind of things now, it's getting into my ear. And I have also the same concerns because I have actually put some things in the women's bathroom. And, and it just hasn't been cleaned. And in last last week I was actually in the building with mr. I forgot his name and I just didn't smell any kind Saul or bleach or anything like that. If so I would like to understand what I contract is. Is there a job description that we have given our cleaning person? And then how are we monitoring? You know, how how he's doing? So that we can make sure that we're investing our money's with the right person. That's going to actually clean. I know that Miss Gilkey came in three weeks ago, and asked to clean up the women's bathroom for. So, and so, that shouldn't have to happen, right? So tell me, tell me how, what are we plant, what are we paying the cleaning person? And then, is there a job description in? Are we, are we, are we meeting with him on a regular basis to make sure that we're addressing some things?
Leafy back guys. Can you hear me?
I can't hear you guys.
Play the song. Really good. And I'm sorry if you feel like I'm not following a discipline, I'm not sure.
I'm not sure, I'm not sure what I'm not following with regards to the
That is correct. And at the time that I did talk to him, I was under the impression that he had been a member of the church prior years. So you are correct. And once I found out that he was actually not a member, I actually backed off and all of that and let him know that but I did not come back and tell him that he could be a trustee next year. Understanding that he was already a member had laugh and we can re-establish him as a member. But just so that we're clear on that once he told me that he didn't think he was a member I actually backed off all of that and say that we we can have yet to learn and NBA youngboy I'm going to call it a junior person. You're learning how to be a trustee but he can't be a trustee until about 2.
And part of that. Cars at the Eugene was, he's a new member and in he's not able to really walk alongside Jean. Gilkey is an advisor and I and I am within my rights to do that. She's not a trustee. And the other person. I'm not sure who, you're, who the other person was, but yeah.
Okay.
Okay. Yes. I think I I think that that it would be a good thing if we're going to pay him money, I just think that it would be a good thing for us to make sure that there's an alignment. I do have a problem with a person that is not being paid money, delayed not being paid. That's just not a good thing, right? Because a person is worthy of their hire. I just actually became aware that he wasn't being paid just a few weeks ago. I also became aware that the person who cuts our lawn, if I hadn't been paid for October October and he just got paid for November. So those are the things that Gravely concern me because if if we're hiring people and they're doing the work, they should they should get paid. To do what it is that they are called that that they should be paid for it, right? That's only fair. And so that's why we meet is to make sure that everything is done well and and that we make sure that we're covering our cost. And if if we're not able to cover our costs, then we need to come up with some Alternatives as to what can we do to, to make sure that we are able to afford a person that's going to clean clean the building cuz it's not fair if it's definitely not fair for anyone to work and they not get paid. So I just think that we need to just make sure that everything we do is done decently and in order, right?
On one of the other things that we need to do is make sure that any records that we have is is put on where that needs to be in our files. And if, if there was some equipment out, or if there is documentation that we need to store with regards to the, the property, I believe that Island owns the property of Odin out, right? Is that correct?
Okay. Alright so I think that's correct. I don't think we have a mortgage on our, on our property, but we just want to make sure that everything is absolutely crystal clear. And that even our Articles of Incorporation, we may have them but we went make sure that we are still in good standing with the state of Missouri. Believe It or Not, There are churches that have articles in corporation and no one checked on him and actually the state drop them as a corporation. And so that's that's also falls under the rubric of the trustee board and I talked to Stuart Chester Chester about it as well but just to make sure any questions on what we've covered this far.
Okay.
Okay, I am not aware of that letter. Do you know, do you know when you actually sent it at the
Would you I surely appreciate it because I'm using right on top and usually, when I receive a email from someone, I usually acknowledge that I received it, so I apologize. If you're, if you sent it, I apologize. If I did not respond but please know that. If I don't respond to you right away, that means I don't see it, okay? And Chester hasn't said anything either, and he usually is really on top of that kind of stuff.
Saw that saying that you didn't do it. I'm just saying that I haven't seen that.
Okay.
Can you can you give us a? Can you give us an overview of what was happening down there?
Okay.
is that a snake or Okay.
Okay.
Okay. Okay, okay. Alright.
It does. He think that the problem is at the, at the main sewer, where the block where the block might be? Or does he think it's on our side?
Okay.
Like waste material or something. Okay, okay.
Our situation. Yeah, sure. When was the last time or sewer lines have been flushed and cleaned.
Okay. Okay.
Okay. All right, all right, all right. So Arthur if you can make that your goal as to your checking into 22 that and finding out what the cost. Would he give you a call Steph?
OK. Google was it 150 or 3:50? 350. So we all want to close to $1,000.
Okay. So yeah, if you would also want to get together and then talk about what what needs to be done. And then we just need to get it to the Stuart board, you know, and get this in front in front because it's it's going to. It's just going to get worse. It's not going to get any better. It's going to get worse. So, but thank you for bringing that up and I apologize. If, like, I said, if, if you send something, but just always bring it to my attention. If I'm not, if I'm not paying enough attention, that means that, that I did not get it then. So please, please, please, just let me know so that I can be addressed. We definitely need a walkthrough of the property in. I really just put in your putting our eyes on sayings and I'm going to be asking for Paul and lugie. If you are too, could be the persons that are just putting their eyes on things friends. Since the stewardess room, I was in there the other day. I'm just noticed that it was just kind of out of water and I don't know if that was because we're just we're just not staying on top of it and turns a blind cleaning at the stewardesses, need some help cleaning. But because we produce our our, our our communion in there, we might want to be on, see what we can do to reduce the amount of material that's in there. And so, that's the kind of things. What I, what I mean by walking around, and just looking, what do we need to do? And, who do we need to address it with so that we could just stay on top of things? For instance, the repair the office window in my office, it seems to be off a little bit. I don't know if you all have looked at that before, it's not a high priority, but we want to just have a look, a little checklist as to what are some of the things that the trustee board might be looking at and call? Steam out so that when we are, when we're trying to raise some money, I have a little extra money whenever that is that we can make sure that we we get things together. And then how long, how long has the roof? The roof ever been replaced? Or what you, what you want, start about? The roof has happened, something that has been replaced over the last 10 years, or is that something that we need to have on our rides in to get fixed in the next 5 years?
I did notice that there was some water water spots. When you go up to the balcony area, and there was some water damage, did that get taken care of or is it? Because we haven't had a lot of snow or rain that, that would just no longer concerned about it. Is that just sold? And, yo, help me to understand the water stains.
Okay, so we might want to investigate what those water stains are and where is it from? Arthur.
Okay.
Okay. Alright. That absolutely, you always call him and what he said, if you did not hear him and Richard is there a way you can set up for speakers? So that this is a little bit louder, what he was saying is that the entire group should do the walk-through, just in case one person see something. You know, another person doesn't see something that way. All of you, all of you guys can can do an assessment together and I think that's a great idea. I think that's a great idea. What is your thoughts?
Directions to archery.
So, if you can get the author, use you to work that out. That would be great. That would be fantastic.
Okay, and he said, he said, okay.
A dentist, no, more priorities more things to look at, just looking at different places work. Letter might be happening in the church. Weather is in the sanctuary where they send. They are the north X or downstairs. If we can just go put her eyes on on things that hit our ass as our Elder, talk about Curb Appeal on when visitors First Walk-In, are they seen trash cans full? Are they saying, kill are they seeing things at that? Just makes it look like it's a, you know, a clever e cluttered environment. We just want to put her eyes on Matt and that's really every member of the church should be doing that. But that's really a trustee. Think we did talk about technological upgrades and miss some Whitmore had offered to purchase one of the TVs and and Richmond. I will fight Funding for another TV. And then we just didn't have a back TV. And against those things are not the highest priority, the technology is. But one of the lottery places right now is in front of the, in front of the altar where the two TVs are they really shouldn't be really shouldn't be, any all Terraria. Be good to put them up, but those TVs are a little bit small for the size Sanctuary that we have And then go ahead. Arthur.
Let me paraphrase for you guys if you did not hear him, he said that, you know, in the past or has been discussion about the televisions they were outside. The altar one time, where Bobby Nugent was sitting there was discussion about putting them up, I do it slow with those those particular TV. Little bit too small. So I think as you guys do the walk around and then let's talk about, you know what, that might look like. What's it cost Factor might be, it would be great. Larger TVs are better from a, from a visual for people who sitting way in the back. But again, we just might want to look at it and think about it as we look at updating the sanctuary, any questions on that?
We're not quite there yet. We're not quite. All right. He was asking about security. We're not quite there yet, in are, and our okay.
I was happy all the church anniversary.
I agree.
Hey Paul. Do you know if he's going to college this year?
All right.
Hey, that would be great. Be great. I have talked to Jessica, I'm with regards cuz she is. She's the leader of the media media team to develop and expand her media team, so that she's not up and down. It's important part of looking at bring the TV's higher and then putting all of that up in the balcony so that we don't have to run back and forth and do all that, that would be a part of that move. So that that's not so distracting for our congregation to to look at and all that kind of stuff. So thank you for that. I appreciate that. Security measures the alarm system Lugene was referencing the alarm system and having that moved to the store. I'm going to the trustee Pro chairman getting whatever phone calls that comes through. My, my understanding is that and help help us out new Jane, That the phone in the room in the in the in that office is not working, but the the alarm seems to be working. Is that is that not right? Is that correct or no? Okay, now I have offered to to be to come in and be that person that works skill sets with your old, whatever Whitmore was saying that they need somebody with boots on the ground to to come in and test the lines and do whatever needs to happen. I'm happy to do that. What does need to happen in terms of making sure
He said, he said me too. He said me too.
Is that that is that that Vontage?
Okay.
And who made that make that decision for to replace the phone without going through the trustees.
Who are you asking? Who are you asking?
Okay, so did she make the decision to change? The phone's or is that help me paint the picture? Just ask. I know, that's kind of weird, right?
Arthur.
Okay.
Okay.
So what? Let me paraphrase, what was he sharing?
So you can hear him then.
Okay, so basically he is saying basically what you said and yeah that that ain't that AT&T was not going to charge ATM, see where everything was set up. And then we had to go to a different direction and that this is not to spend in the last year, but since Tarkington, and that is a bit embarrassing. And I certainly know that no one of the things that I have, my husband do is, call call in to the church to find out who's answering the phone, and it just didn't seem to go anywhere is so, yeah. So it is actually becomes quite risky legally for us, you would think that it wouldn't be, but if something pops off in our church and we don't have a phone and we rely on somebody else's cell phone. That is it just doesn't pop off for very well, right then. So I'm so we have to get that phone. We have to get that phone system up. All you have your hand up.
Are you, are you suggesting that that Alan was a victim of copper stealing?
I mean. No, doubt it, it's it definitely has happened. I'm just wondering if that was investigated. It was that investigated
What's everywhere?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you so much.
I said something like that. Put it in Google Fiber still looks like it's it looks like it's Google Fiber.
Yeah, well I mean it's just certainly it is certainly is not functioning. I can tell you that and
I'm sorry. Paul auster was talkin on my apologies. I forgot to tell you guys. He was he was talkin.
Talking about Marvel. Marvel Marvel's daughter. Having a seizure medical. Emergency containers.
Yes.
Exactly. That's why we are legally bound to get a phone. We have to get a phone. If we cannot people, the members are not required to let us use their phone. All the business is supposed to use the phone and, you know, if we try to super spiritual eyes to church and say it was a spiritual entity. Everybody will understand know where business, where Spencer is spiritual entity. That also has a business responsibilities of fiduciary responsibility to make sure that we have a phone. So we need to this is this is this is important to to address Paul. You still have your hand up or is that from the last time?
Paul, do you still have your hand up or is that from the last time?
Something. Maybe he's walked away. I'm not sure. Okay.
Do you have a question Richard?
Do we know the the, the Wi-Fi speed?
Information.
Yes, I would agree and end in authors is suggesting, you know, that AT&T is pretty big company, that should be able to deal with Alan. I'm not sure why we went to a different network, but we want to look into what, what your lot looking at blank looking at what solution was her solution. What do we need to do to get this? This this monkey off her back because we've got to have a phone system. We have to have a phone number. So if that's going back to AT&T, is that getting Vontage, right? Whatever that looks like we need to the trustee board, really should look at coming up with the answer and then say this is what we're going to do. And so I'm going to ask you guys to get together and talk about it and it will try to figure out it. Was it a y? Copper issue. Was it a bandwidth issue? What was the issue?
Okay.
All right, all right, all right so maybe we just need a have a, have a have, a powwow meeting and then come up and and talk together and find out what the solution is again. It's not about what happened in the past. Let's go ahead and figure out what we're going to do today. And what's the solution are so that we can go ahead and move this, monkey off our back.
Yeah, we can go talk to those little wires if he want. Do you want know who who is caring that the church who's who's are armed? Cuz it kind of gets, I know this is from maybe a sticky question, but it would be a true, it would be on. It would be helpful for me to know if anybody's armed. And if they're not, you know, does anybody want to be
he talked to me about Jolie needs to be armed and he talked, you mean that the lady that came through
Yes, yes, yes, yes, sir. He did talk to me again. That's a trustee type of thing. Just was more than happy to connect with you guys, but my question was not necessarily that but more. So who's armed who's carrying in our conversation, if anybody?
Okay. Okay. Okay.
No, not this is not necessarily because it's like, okay, let me, let me share with you. I don't know. That that is a good thing. Maybe a few people should know, especially me. We had a situation at Bethel. I knew every member who carried in my congregation and we have signals because the first person that usually sees who's coming to the doors me. So when that lady came in and she was wrapped up, I was like, okay What the heck, right? Because she could have been caring anything's, but I didn't know who was carrying in the congregation to even make a signal to say I'm concerned. If I agree, everybody doesn't need to know, right? Because then that breaks down the security but I should know. So if you don't want to say it here, that's good but we can just have a private conversation, but I do believe that all the trustee should know who's caring so that if somebody comes up in there, they should be trained, right? They should be security training them in a whole congregation needs to understand what security training is. I usually have a security training session where the police come out in and talk about what do members do, if somebody comes and visits presents arms or knives or tear gas, or whatever they do nowadays, because we're just living in it. We're living in a Time of the Season where people are shooting each other.
Yep, I'm just waiting for you guys to make a comment.
I think the trustee should know who's carrying who's trained, right?
I believe that you all should be trained just as by the nature of what you guys do for the church.
Absolutely.
Yes, it is. And if we already have someone That's carrying I need to know who those individuals are so that I know who's caring.
Okay. Alright.
No, I think the trustee should all know, and I think the key leader, young key keep, the key leaders should know.
I don't know. What you say?
Author.
You just don't know yet, which is great.
Why would I been observing him? And I watch him as he watches other people and I was like, that's an interesting I haven't approached them that I won't. I don't need to let you know, I mean but I watch him. You know? And you all can you keep it in prayer? Y'all y'all y'all have heard that he lost his daughter. So please keep him in prayer. Please keep him in prayer.
I'm not concerned about people eating. And since we're we're adults, God made food, God, made our building God, made everything that if he becomes a problem, then we address it. But, you know, I think we, we do some funny things about food in the sanctuary drinks in the sanctuary, you know? And again, we're adults and if it becomes a problem, then we address the problem. But yeah. Yes, he can. I do I just don't have a Yeah, no worries. No worries. Don't worry. I'm not pee on myself former Administration so let him do his thing and and whatever he needs we are there to support him again if they're sheep droppings as I call. If people can't, if it's if a dog can't learn how to clean up themselves then it becomes the controlling matter but I haven't seen that yet. But does not dishonor. Got at all. We do some weird things that you know, in terms of what's religious and what spiritual ain't that something that's better learn behavior and it's just it's just kind of silly so silly. But it's just something that it hasn't never a problem, but I've never had a problem with people who eat in the sanctuary. Obviously you don't want to
Somebody has sugar problem, you no need to dig dig in their pocket. Forget, I want some chips or something like that. I just not going to, I just not going to bat out of fly. How do I just not going to do that? But obviously, we don't want to have people coming in with big old sandwiches and, you know,
Is this the is the human is the human factor then that's all it is. Is the human factor. Everybody's going to have a different way of looking at things. This particular administrator is not going to bat at things that it's not a problem. If it becomes a problem, then we bad at it. If it becomes a problem, I just don't see it becoming a problem. Because most people most adults Christians will respect the house of God. And so I treat people with the utmost respect and and then if there's a reason for this stress or disrespect or not disrespect for control, then we address it at that time. There is a security Grant that's coming up and they did bishops. Annie.
The bishop and the elders are inviting the trustees in the storage to be able to call on Monday. Midwest Mondays on the list because those who write the grant was going to do a training session on what needs to be in in the paperwork so that they can go and write the grip Force, which is great. So the security Grid in and I will send I thought I thought I send it to you guys but just in case I didn't I will send it to you tonight but the security Grant allows you to get security cameras, updated security cameras fencing. It's need be all kinds of stuff, so I will send that to you guys to look at it and also you're probably going to look at it very closely all the time. She's going to look at it but also look at it very closely. See what what what your thoughts are if we want to try to, if we want to try to go for it this year security, grants come out almost every 6 months to least once a year. And so it's a way of updating the security of your building and getting us alarms and in the phone, when trying to look at the phones and so we we might we want to be on that call as soon as much as possible. Paul did you have a question or your is your hand still up?
If we didn't have that, if we didn't have any options, I think you were absolutely 100%. However that's not how the bishop is doing it. She wants to have a group Grant and grant writing, so that we have a greater potential, getting the grass so I hear you. It's up to you if you want to be on the call or not, it's up to you.
Okay. All right. But yeah, we're dealing with a different, a different pair. I'm okay. Is it really was a bishop who is very sensitive to what happens in a community and what happens is, I don't know if you heard her at the planning meeting or at the annual conference, but it was at the planning meeting where you want to start doing their own thing. And then somebody else comes along and another church starts applying for the same Grant and the grant people, the grant people who are offering, the grant goes we've already given it to blah blah blah organization and so therefore the churches will know what they're doing. Now is bringing all the churches together finding out what the needs are doing a group Grant so that you can get a lot more money. And then be able to distribute it out. So just know that that's that's the process that we're going with in accordance to our supervisor, an addition
All right. And then Children and Youth security. We do have now Sunday school for use and of course, we're going to be having you search with Latasha. Starting January 4th, one of my greatest concern is to see kid in the Fourier hanging out and not super vised or hanging out and not in some kind of service. So they needed should be by their parents or in the in the adult service are in use service but they really should not be hanging out in the, in the year looking at their phone. There should not be Predators coming. To church has all the time all the time is so. So we want to make sure that we're keeping our kids at secure. As possible. All right, the last part of our conversation is, I've already talked about this decided that I must make sure that we're walking around. I believe that our insurance is up-to-date, but if there is any kind of questions with regards to coverage, we have more. So we had a blast it out. That's really a trustee our responsibility is to make sure that we have our coverage and make sure that we are up to date with all the things that we need to be up to date with and then making sure that we do organize our first deep cleaning of the church. And I'm going to ask Miss, Gilkey to actually do that. Because she's that's one of the things that she likes to do. She likes to, she likes to clean the church, she likes to go and clean and so. Questions. Questions, concerns problems. Share with me.
Okay. Okay. And just to be clear, we're not riding the grant. They already have an organization that's riding the grants for us. We just have to supply. We just have to supply the information. Yep. Yep. Yep. No problem with that Stacey Daniels.
Okay.
okay, until she thinks it's perfect. Perfect insurance for our building.
Okay, alright, wonderful wonderful. All right up all
Oh, no worries. Don't worry about it. I don't even know how I raised my hand. How do you lower it? Get it again. I don't even know how I
Oh, I did it. Oh my gosh. Okay. All right. Any questions and it concerns any questions that we want to address.
I ain't seen that they're not Arthur.
Or do you have any questions concerns, anything you want to dress as asking trustee protest?
Oh, did I not finish the sentence?
Oh yeah. That's kind of weird. Yeah. So they should not be allowed to just sitting up in the hallways and play and play. So one of the things that were implementing is about to the Tasha to come alongside and provide me with a proposal for youth church. And that way the young people will be spoken to in languages that are really relevant to use issues. Use problems children's issues, but they also will be able to learn more about the order of service. They'll be able to you know, just be used in children on the way that they should be used in children so that should alleviate the issue of going. That should hopefully Olivia leave me at the issue of use, it'll just hanging out on some of the kids last week actually went outside, you know, and what what, what we don't realize realize is that there are sexual predators out there that look for that.
I'm sorry. I didn't, I didn't hear.
Coach.
So part of it is is making sure that they get downstairs. So that would be Usher's need to be able to direct the kids but I'm trying to send it with the messages to the parent is your child. Either needs to be a new church or next to you in adult service, but they cannot be outside, they cannot be outside, the cannot be playing around in the, in the hallway and part of that is an usher sing part of, that is the ushers need to be able to direct the kids. And I don't know if, if there's been pushed back with the kids at all, but I'm also starting to drill that with the kids in Sunday school that. Yeah, we're here. We're here to learn about the Lord and so we can actually have one of the kids 3 weeks ago. Four weeks ago, push back going to be in youth group. Great then but you'll be an adult Sunday school and they looked it up dope. So nice to know. I want to be there but you're not going to be outside if you're not going to play around. So that's something that's it. That is a culture that we have to build and we have to be very consistent with it. We just can't we can't grow tired of that. We just have to, we don't have to be very consistent with it and the kids will be directed, you know, if kids want directions. So, Any other questions concerns problems?
All right. Well seen that there are none. I pray that all minds are clear. Are there? Did you have anything that you might want to say as the Pro 10? Congratulations.
Well it said, if you don't want it, we don't have to have approached him about it. Is my understanding that Miss Rucker contacted all of you guys.
Yeah. Because before we before, we had the trustee, before we had the trustee votes, or at church conference, is my understanding is that she contacted all of you.
No.
Regarding if you wanted to be a trustee or not.
Locate because truthfully if you don't want to be a trustee then we can we can end that now and figure out the next thing cuz I don't want y'all to feel like you're pressured into being a trustee. So, do you guys want to be a trustee?
Okay, cuz I don't want you to miles.
I understand, but as I as I said in my note, don't take personal offense. I'll try not to let you know because if you look in your discipline it says that every year we do training every year every year we do it then in the reason why we do it is that we we want to level set. We want to make sure that we're trying as best as we can to stay on top of on top of the train. Doesn't suggest that you don't know what you're doing. It does suggest that I'm coming in one way or the other. And so if we walk together, how can anyone walk together unless they agree and so we can agree that we follow the discipline? Yeah, let's hope so.
Okay. Thanks. Arthur. And I'm waiting to hear from the elders because they're offering this to all the dirt dirt offering offering exactly going to bring in somebody from the outside to train. You do whatever you want to call it everybody because
This is good to level set. That's it, maybe billing, and maybe somebody else, I'm some Bishop, I don't know but that's what the conversation is. Mister, mister my God, Elder Mayberry did that for us last year. You know, you're talkin about People have been long time, long time, trustees long, time Stewart's, and he brought it in the mister billing billing, to do a conference wide training. And it was, it was really good because it just gave us a refreshing on what we, what we kind of forgot what we were, how we could do it a little bit better. Paul.
I don't know what they're going to do. I don't know, I don't know.
I don't know. But I fine.
I don't know Paul. I don't know why I just I I don't like to make issues out of where there's no issues I think training is always a good thing to have so that we can always talk to say when words so I don't know. Yeah. But you know no one can force you to do anything. No one. Someone. They can say mandatory all day long, right? But if you're not going to be there you can be there physically in the room and check out. And so I find that training is always a good thing for church has to go through so that we will all walk together and agree and and we might just find that we haven't memorized Everything the song. Yeah it's up to it's always up to the individual. That's just like just it's just like the Bible. Now we have we have a manual on how to live life.
Jesus himself can manifest in his room. Just because he does, doesn't mean that will follow. And so is always going to be up to us whether we humble ourselves and it said yeah. You know, there may be some things I can learn or they may be some things that that that we go. All. Yeah. That's what we're doing. Yeah, that's good. Yeah, or maybe. That we find out that we're not doing everything that we could be doing. And we could do a better. So I'm always about the positive and I pray that each one of you all are about the positive. Let's see what we can learn. Let's see what we can confirm that. We're doing less figure out how we can be strong as a trustee board us out and then we will get these. I'm minutes typed up and back out to you all and then if you see anything in the minutes that that you're like, no, that's not what we agreed to. This is being recorded to run, try to do our best to get as much as as possible, but I will get those minutes out and then you all be able to say what we agree to all know. We forgot to ask this whatever, right? Okay, so let's go. Bless the Lord God of the percentages. For this time we're coming together. Father and his abilities have been discussed. Possibly remember that we may come together as one body trusting and believing you for all things together to keep us in your tender care about my safety focused on you. In Jesus name, we pray. All right. We'll see you guys. And Sunday are for Bible study for Passover by Fitz and the Christmas thing Christmas banquet
Are you off? Arthur.
