His Name Shall Be Called
Pray
6 For a child will be born for us,
a son will be given to us,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
He will be named
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
7 The dominion will be vast,
and its prosperity will never end.
He will reign on the throne of David
and over his kingdom,
to establish and sustain it
with justice and righteousness from now on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord of Armies will accomplish this.
“Child will be born” This will be a human
7 Instead he emptied himself
by assuming the form of a servant,
taking on the likeness of humanity.
And when he had come as a man,
8 he humbled himself by becoming obedient
to the point of death—
even to death on a cross.
A servant humble and obedient.
If Jesus can come as a servant humble and obedient can we?
A baby with the Cross as HIS mission.

Do we give precious gifts to people we don’t care for or love?

Whose plan is the Christmas plan.
The LORD is passionate about accomplishing HIS plan
Why is there a need for the Christmas plan?
Adam and Eve sin entered the world.
Jesus “Eternal Father” will have to die.
The punishment of sin has to be payed.
Either by us or by Jesus.
Does the Old Testament point to Jesus any where else?
Numbers 21:5–6 “5 The people spoke against God and Moses: “Why have you led us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!” 6 Then the Lord sent poisonous snakes among the people, and they bit them so that many Israelites died.”
Raise up a bronze snake whoever looks to it he will recover.
14 “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. 16 For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
