Luke 2:14 NKJV
14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
John 14:27 NKJV
27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
The primary Greek word for peace is eirene’ and stems from the root word eiro, meaning to bring what's separated back into wholeness—not just the absence of conflict, but restoration, harmony, well-being, and inner tranquility, akin to the Hebrew shalom, signifying a complete blessing
Peace is not the absence of conflict.
Peace is knowing the abiding presence of God in your life.
Billy Graham’s book PEACE WITH GOD
Billy Graham said,  “I am convinced that there is a great hunger of mind and thirst of soul on the part of the average man for peace with God….All humanity is seeking the answer to the confusion, the moral sickness, the spiritual emptiness that oppresses the world.  All mankind is crying out for guidance, for comfort, for peace.”
Billy Graham writes, “Because the Creator made us for Himself; and we shall never find completeness and fullness apart from fellowship with Him.”

I. A Present Peace.

Philippians 4:7 NKJV
7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
In December of 1914 a miraculous series of event spread across the trenches of World War I.
It started when French and German soldiers left their trenches and approached the fence in no-mans-land with champagne and cigarets.
It has been said that in other parts, this Christmas truce and peace was instigated by the Germans singing Silent Night while huddled around a Christmas tree in on of the trenches.

II. A Bountiful Peace.

John 14:27 NKJV
27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Not only is the peace of God present in our lives, it is also sufficient.

III. An Abiding Peace.

Isaiah 54:10 NKJV
10 For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
How can we have peace in our lives?
If peace is the knowledge of God’s presence in our lives, then we can only know peace if God reveals His presence to us. Just as God revealed Himself to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, He has revealed Himself to us.
A. Through the Word of God
B. Through Miracles.
Tires in South Dakota
C. Through the Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 13:5 NKJV
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
