Observations
Bethlehem means the “House of Bread”, Jesus the Bread of Life, is born there
The false king was on a throne, and the true king was in a manger
These wise men came to the King of the Jews to ask where is the King of the Jews
Jesus was king since He was born
From the beginning of time, creation has pointed to the Creator
The wise men didn’t come to just admire the God they are going to meet with but they came to surrender to the one who is King
The wise men knew who they were going to meet with and they saw Him for who He was although He was a baby
Herod was troubled because Jesus was a threat to His throne
The reason why we are so troubled with following Jesus in certain aspects of our lives that we don’t want people knowing about is because we believe that Jesus would be a threat to that throne (think through)
If you want Christ to come into your life and be on the throne than you have to be okay with Him disturbing your lifestyle
The scribes and priests knew the truth but didn’t go towards the truth, they knew exactly where the Messiah and the Savior would be born, they knew the truth but refused to move towards it
a lot of us know the truth but don’t move towards the truh
Reading your Bible doesn’t prove pursuit, your heart for Him proves your pursuit
Do you want to be where He is at?
Do you value where He is?
Or has your knowledge of Him affected your pursuit for Him?
What you do secretly will always be found out?
Not everyone who says I worship actually will and does
You can fake your worship and devotion to God to those around you but the One who was meant to receive your worship knows your heart
Those who truly seek after Christ will always find Him
Have you lost your joy about meeting with Jesus?
the moment they saw, they worshipped!
Herod knew that Jesus would cost him control
Every sinner resists Christ not because we doubt His power but because we fear His authority
The wise men knew what would be the repercussions if they had not gone back to Herod, but they didn’t care because they have already seen the true King!
