Artificial Intelligence used to be science fiction.
Robots in movies were either funny sidekicks or evil villains. But now… AI isn’t fiction anymore.
Most of you probably used AI this week—maybe without even knowing it.
It’s in your phone, apps, searches, and social media. It’s changing how we live, learn, and create.
Every generation has moments like this that change everything.
For some it was the internet. Before that, the telephone. Suddenly you could talk to someone thousands of miles away.
As big as AI, the internet, or the telephone are…
There’s one moment in history that changes everything more than any of them.
Over 2,000 years ago, in a tiny town near Jerusalem, something happened that changed the world forever.
God became one of us.
That’s what this series, Chaotic Christmas, is about.
If God really stepped into our world, we don’t have to guess what He’s like anymore—we can look at Jesus.
People had ideas about God before Jesus, but when He arrived, He wasn't what they expected…
He was better than they imagined.
SCRIPTURE (Read John 1:1–5, 14 – ~2 minutes)
SCRIPTURE (Read John 1:1–5, 14 – ~2 minutes)
John 1:1-5
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He existed in the beginning with God. 3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. 4 The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
Jump down to verse 14:
14 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. (John 1:14 – NLT)
John calls Jesus “the Word” because words reveal things.
When you speak, people understand your thoughts.
Jesus reveals God.
He didn’t start in a manger. He existed before time.
Jesus was with God—and Jesus was God.
Everything was created through Him.
Your breath. The stars. Your DNA.
Then verse 14 says the impossible:
God became human.
Jesus got tired. He got hungry. He laughed. He cried. He was betrayed.
The Creator became one of us.
John says He is “full of unfailing love and faithfulness.”
A love that doesn’t quit,
doesn’t leave,
and doesn’t give up on you.
INSIGHTS (Teaching – ~2 minutes)
INSIGHTS (Teaching – ~2 minutes)
1. Jesus has always been God.
Jesus didn’t become God later.
He has always been God.
He’s not just a teacher or a good example.
He is Almighty God in human form—and that means He’s worth following, trusting, and worshiping.
2. Jesus became one of us.
John says Jesus “made His home among us.”
Ever felt misunderstood? Ignored? Exhausted? Broken?
Jesus understands—because He lived it.
Love doesn’t shout from a distance.
Love shows up.
God didn’t send a message.
He sent Himself.
So when you pray, you’re not talking to a God who says, “I imagine what that feels like…”
You’re talking to a God who says,
“I’ve been there.”
3. Jesus brought light into our darkness.
Darkness is confusing.
You can be in your own house and still trip when the lights are off.
But flip the switch—and everything changes.
Jesus came as light in a dark world.
Before Jesus, people wondered:
Who is God really?
Does He care?
How can we know Him?
Jesus answered with His life.
God isn’t distant.
He’s loving.
He came near.
When life feels overwhelming, you’re not stumbling in the dark…
You’re walking with the Light Himself.
ACTION (Response – ~1 minute)
ACTION (Response – ~1 minute)
1. Remember who Jesus really is this week.
Christmas isn’t just a baby in a manger.
It’s God stepping into the world.
Every time you see lights, decorations, or a nativity set, remind yourself:
“That tiny baby is a BIG God.”
2. Share the Light.
2. Share the Light.
Jesus didn’t come just for you—He came for everyone.
This week, show Jesus’ love through your actions:
Encourage someone.
Be kind.
Serve quietly.
Forgive quickly.
When you love like Jesus, you reflect the God who came near.
FINAL THOUGHT
FINAL THOUGHT
The greatest moment in history wasn’t a new invention…
It was when God became one of us.
And the best news?
He’s still with us.
